Which do you believe in? Do you believe that God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit share equal authority or do you believe in the eternal submission of the Son?

Well all three distinct persons are co-equal share the same divine nature but yet different offices such as the case when you view it from the ontological and economic Trinity

Ivy, if Messiah is submissive, then so is the Holy Spirit, as Yahshua said that He will ask the Father to give ANOTHER comforter.

The Greek word for Another is 'allos' which means Another of the same kind.

i would say equal let's use praying as an example and here's why..... If it is okay to pray to the Father, and the Son, is it alright to pray to the Holy Spirit? The answer would be yes because the Holy Spirit is also God nevertheless, we never see an instance in the Bible where anyone prays to the Holy Spirit. Why is that? The answer is that the Holy Spirit does not bear witness of Himself. He bears witness of the Son John 15:26...

but still, we can pray to the Spirit because we are also called into fellowship with the Spirit. 2 Cor. 13:14 says, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all."

Hi Ivy,

The Father is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient, so also is the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Each one was involved with the creation of all we can see, and cannot see.

Yashua in His Deity is co-equal with the Father, yet in His human nature He is called the Servant, the Branch, Zechariah 3 verses 8 - 10

8 Hear now, O high priest Joshua, you and your companions seated before you, who are indeed a sign. For behold, I am going to bring My servant, the Branch.

9 See the stone I have set before Joshua; on that one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave on it an inscription, declares the LORD of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

10 On that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, you will each invite your neighbor to sit under your own vine and fig tree.’”

Isaiah 42 verses 1 - 7

1 “Here is My Servant, whom I uphold,

My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him,

and He will bring justice to the nations.

2 He will not cry out or raise His voice,

nor make His voice heard in the streets.

3 A bruised reed He will not break

and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish;

He will faithfully bring forth justice.

4 He will not grow weak or discouraged before He has established justice on the earth.

In His law the islands will put their hope.”

5 This is what God the LORD says—

He who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and its offspring, who gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk in it:

6 “I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,

7 to open the eyes of the blind, to bring prisoners out of the dungeon

and those sitting in darkness out from the prison house.

To be a servant, one has to be placed under the authority of another, yet

Messiah in His Glory as GOD the Son, He is not under the authority of the Father, but He is equal with the Father in every way.

The SON EXACTLY represents the Father, in His deity, glory, honor, power, authority, majesty, character, attitude, personality, creatorship, and sustainer of all that He had created.

Colosians 1 verses 15 - 20

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16 For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.

17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

18 And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence.

19 For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him,

20 and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.

Messiah in His human nature was to do the will of the Father.

Hebrews 10 verses 5 - 10

5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me.

6 In burnt offerings and sin offerings

You took no delight.

7 Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll:

I have come to do Your will, O God.’”

8 In the passage above He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor did You delight in them” (although they are offered according to the law).

9 Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.

10 And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

As GOD the SON, Yahshua is equal to the Father is every way.

As a man, Messiah had taken the role of being a servant, yet He was never inferior to the Father.

Messiah showed that there can be dignity in serving and in being a servant.

"Messiah showed that there can be dignity in serving and in being a servant."

This is a good point Quiznos. Submission is not necessarily a bad thing. Our society doesn't understand that at all.

Trouble is some people say that submission is not a bad thing, but the as soon as you suggest that husbands are supposed to submit to their wives, they get their noses all bent out of shape. If submission is not a bad thing, why do so many people have a problem with the concept of mutual submission?

Ivy, GOD Almighty does not say to ' submit to Him, but rather to place oneself under authority.

In this life, i have experienced when a woman wants a man to be under her, the woman is a tyrant, trying to PROVE that she is as good as a man.

GOD Almighty created women to do something that no man is able to do, that is to carry a child in her body, and to take care of the home.

The devil wants women to usurp the position GOD Almighty had given to man.

A mans enemies will be those of his own household.
