Admin	Bereans Posted : 27 Oct, 2020 03:55 PM Acts 17:10-12 10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men. The Bereans were considered more noble. Why? Because, they didn't just take Paul's words at face value. They studied the scriptures and checked what he said against them. They used their brains. Reminds me of when Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these(meaning children). Know what one of the things that children do? They ask questions. Lots of them. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. Post Reply

And, if we unknowingly say something that is not true, we should not get upset when someone corrects us. The truth should be more important than our false pride. Post Reply

We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
