While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.

All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed , because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentles also.

For they were hearing them speak with tongues and exalting God.

Acts 10: 44-45-46

Isn't it important to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit?

Baptism in Water is not a prerequisite for Salvation.

It is a affirmation that a person has accepted the Messiah as their Lord and Savior.

Some people accurately think they are saved Just Because, they got Baptized in Water at a church or facility.

"some people accurately"

Is it possible you meant "some people inaccurately?"

The statement as you wrote it in your post leads me to think that you believe water baptism is necessary for salvation. I just want to make sure I understand you. I don't believe water baptism is necessary for salvation.

It is interesting that the Holy Spirit fell on them before there was any evidence of conversion or belief on the part of Cornelius and his household.

Contrast that with Acts chapter 8 and the Samaritans. They believed and were baptized but didn't get the Holy Spirit till several days later(acts 8:14-17).

Abounding,

That goes to show that GOD Almighty cannot be placed in a box.

Gosh Quiz, I thought you believed in multiple triplets of "gods or guds" but here you only list one as being "ALMIGHTY" over the others? Strange! So did you mean to say "GOD'S or GUDS Almighties" to be clear to everyone of your multiple pagan named deities?

Have you not read Isaiah 9:6 where the Messiah is also called - "MIGHTY" YHWH and "EVERLASTING FATHER" in the flesh, YHWH's set apart WORD from Himself and called His Son Yah'shua! So you might want to clarify which YHWH you are talking about in the future for us to understand which one you claim others are "placing in a box" according to your "spirit" in your head, ok?

That way we would know what your >>BELIEF<< or >>UNBELIEF<< really is, as you say!

Hey Moon, there is a big difference in meaning between the words "accurately" and "actually" in your description of peoples beliefs in baptism. Why not be a big girl and admit your mistakes? Usually you post a zillion corrections to your posts AFTERWARDS but not this time until AG questioned you. I have an idea! Why not >>actually<< LOOK at what you type BEFORE you punch that little green post button at the bottom of what you are ATTEMPTING to say, that way you are >>accurately<< getting your point across to readers! What do you say?

Ummm AG, what makes you think there was no "conversion or belief on the part of Cornelius and his household" in your assumption that YHWH's set apart Holy Spirit DID "fell on them >>before<< there was any evidence of conversion"? Quite the opposite in the context of reading and by understanding verses 10:1-4,22 that Cornelius "a devout man that feared YHWH!"ALREADY and " prayed to YHWH always!" AND AND recieved "visions"! Its interesting that nothing is mentioned directly that YHWH's set apart Holy Spirit came to Cornelius, much like Peter but that spirit angels delivered additional messages to Cornelius (verses 3 & 7) of which angels are also called holy spirits to deliver messages! Angels are spirits! Of course Cornelius was still learning and coming to more truth and even made mistakes yet (verses 25,26) and so of course there was evidence of conversion and or belief on the part of Cornelius and his household! Good grief, its obvious! We should note nothing is said of water baptizm of Cornelius either, so does that mean he was never baptized??? You know how thick the Bible would be if it told you over and over again what takes place AFTER realizing your a sinner by the Torah Law, become sorry about your sins by FAITH, are converted by His death for you - saved by FAITH, then baptized by water, then given YHWH's Spirit to live a righteous life by His POWER and GRACE! There is also another matter of Peter shown in vision about not calling Gentiles unclean, compared with unclean animals that we are not suppose to eat, even today in order to be found righteous at His coming judgment one day!!

The main message in Acts 8:14-17 is that of the out pouring of YHWH's set apart Holy Spirit AFTER water baptizm in Messiah Yah'shua and Philip was taken away after baptizing the eunuch (verse 39)! Does that mean the eunuch did NOT recieve YHWH's set apart Holy Spirit AFTERWARDS in order to live a righteous life by YHWH's power and ALMIGHTY in him on a day to day basis? That would be just another assumption that he did or did not according to AG, like he did about Cornelius!
