When you pray does it feel like Jesus is right there with you, listening to your prayers?
Posted : 25 Jul, 2020 10:32 AM

I know that whenever I close my eyes to pray I always feel Him right there with me, and He's hearing me. And every time I always hear that still small voice in my heart, saying "I love you my child." .

In all kindness Morgan, you need to get passed what you “feel” and replace it with faith.

Many a righteous and stalwart person of faith received no “still small voice” he claimed was Jesus or God to encourage him. Job didn’t.

Morgan,

Where have you been.

Morgan, i do not live by what i feel, as most of the time i feel nothing, I live by what i know to be true.

The JUST shall live by FAITH, not feelings.

Feelings are like the waves of the waters, they go in, amd go out, they go up, they go down.

A believer in Messiah cannot live like that.

Think percentages ! If 800 MILLION people are praying at the same time, God is almighty. He hears every prayer. But % wise, He is not going to whisper, speak or Shout at any of those people. We are in NEW Testament times. In the new testament, the Lord God spoke to the Apostle Paul in Acts chapter 9 as well as Ananias, and the Apostle John (Rev. 1)

We can PRETEND we hear a voice, because we want it badly, but if you are actually "hearing voices" there is another word for that. And to deal with it, the person needs counseling. God is NOT speaking in soft small voices to people who pray.

"**PRAY CONTINUALLY**; GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS!!" {I Thess 5:17,18}

Matthew 6:5,6,9-11 Jesus commands, “When you **PRAY**, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to **PRAY** standing in the synagogues {churches} and on the street corners to be seen by men...But when you **PRAY**, go into your room, close the door and PRAY to your FATHER, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you... This, then, is how you should **PRAY**: “Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.” and Luke 11:4 adds, **FORGIVE US OUR SINS**, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.”

Matthew 6:7,8: Jesus says, "And when you **PRAY**, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him!"

James 5:13-16: Is any one of you **IN TROUBLE**? He should **PRAY**!! Is any one of you **SICK**? He should call the elders {And only the elders!} of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the **PRAYER** offered in faith will make the sick person well, the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore **CONFESS YOUR SINS TO EACH OTHER** and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The **PRAYER** of a righteous man is powerful and effective!

Acts 1:14: They all joined together **CONSTANTLY IN PRAYER**!

I John 1:8,9; 2:1,2: If we {believers} claim to be without sin, **WE DECEIVE OURSELVES** and the truth is not in us. If we **CONFESS OUR SINS**, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we {believers} we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our lives....If anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the **ATONING SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS**!!

Matthew 26:41: Jesus says, "Watch and **PRAY** so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the body is weak!"

Hebrews 4:15,16: For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may **RECEIVE MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP US IN OUR TIME OF NEED**!!

Hebrews 12:5,6,10,11: Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the **LORD DISCIPLINES THOSE HE LOVES**, And He punishes everyone He accepts as a son... God disciplines us for our own good, that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

If we fail to daily ask forgiveness and repent of our sins God will **DISCIPLINE US** and sometimes it will be very painful. We will also **LOSE ETERNAL REWARDS** and a **CLOSE RELATIONSHIP** with God!

2 Corinthians 5:9,10: We make it our goal to please Him... for we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Luke 18:1: JESUS SAYS, **ALWAYS **PRAY** AND NEVER GIVE UP**!

Jeremiah 33:3; The Lord says, "Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know!" {This would help God's saints to correctly interpret many of the mysteries in God's Word!}

Luke 11:1-4: The disciples asked Jesus, "Teach us to **PRAY**" Jesus said to His disciples, "When you **PRAY**, say: 'Father , hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come. Give us each day our **DAILY** bread. **FORGIVE US {disciples}OUR SINS**, for we forgive everyone who sins against us'"

Here we see that Jesus tells His disciples to daily ask the Father to forgive them of their sins. God's Word states that we must be holy as God is holy as per I Peter 1:15,16; and to walk as Jesus walked as per I John 2:6. And God understands that we really don't understand how much we fall short and sin daily.

I John 2:6: Whoever claims to live in Him **MUST** live as Jesus did!!

Matthew 5:48: Jesus says, "Be perfect, as your **HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT**!"

While we read in Isaiah 55:8,9: God says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts!"

The closer we get to God the more we realize how much we fall short and sin daily; and realize our need to confess our sins daily to get closer to God. Take Paul, the greatest NT saint, for example:

I Timothy 1:15,16: Paul said, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom **I AM THE WORST**. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, **THE WORST OF SINNERS**, Christ Jesus might display **HIS UNLIMITED PATIENCE** as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life.

I Timothy 5:5: The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to **PRAY** and **ASK GOD FOR HELP**!!

I Thessalonians 5:17,18: ** PRAY**CONTINUALLY**; **GIVE THANKS IN ALL** circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Philemon 1:6: I **PRAY** that you may be active in sharing your faith.

Acts 6:4: We will give our attention to **PRAYER** and the ministry of the Word!

Matthew 5:44: Jesus commands, ”Love your enemies and **PRAY** for those who persecute you.”

I Thessalonians 3:10: Night and day we **PRAY** most earnestly that we may supply what is **LACKING IN YOUR FAITH**.

Ephesians 3:16-19: I **PRAY** that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I **PRAY** that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know that love which surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of the fullness of God!

2 Thessalonians 1:11,12: We **CONSTANTLY PRAY FOR YOU**, that our God may count you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We **PRAY** this that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 17:15-17: Jesus prayed, “My **PRAYER** is not to take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. Sanctify them by the Truth Your Word is Truth!”

I Peter 3:12: The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their **PRAYER**.

Colossians 4:12: He is always wrestling in **PRAYER** for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

Hebrews 4:15,16: For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need!!

Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by **PRAYER** and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God.

I John 5:14,15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything **ACCORDING TO HIS WILL** He hears us. And if we know that He hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of Him.

2 Corinthians 12:8,9: Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness!"

James 4:3: When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures!

Romans 8:26,27: The Spirit helps us in our **WEAKNESS**. We do not know what we ought to **PRAY** for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with **GOD'S WILL**!

Matthew 18:10-14: Jesus said, “Two men went up to the temple to **PRAY**, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and **PRAYED** about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' But the tax collector stood at a distance, He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, '**GOD, HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER**'!!.'"I tell you that this man rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted!”

There is a great difference in Praying or Praying Constantly and hearing voices. If you are hearing God's voice all the time, something should be done about it.

Receiving the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Son of God is receiving a gentle voice alright, which cries Abba Father, to the Father. A gentle loving Spirit, which is love, life and light. The darkness cannot comprehend it, and darkness has nothing to do with light...

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

The Apostles of the same Lord God, gave the testimony of Christ to people who did not believe sincerely yet, and the prayer is that they will increase in the knowledge of Christ which is His just judgement of the righteousness of the kingdom of Heaven, to be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. being filled with the fruits of righteousness...

For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Philippians 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Jesus did come to make a difference, to set us free from sin, but some try to teach against that, and think Jesus came to die for nothing, and that He changed nothing for us and that we continue to be servants of sin and were not set free at all, but they can try to ignore the testimony..

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

QUIZNOS and ADAM7777 teach that we are still under the supervision of Old Testament LawsI

**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY:**??

Corinthians 9:21: I am under **CHRIST'S LAW**!!

Galatians 6:2: Fulfill the **LAW OF CHRIST**!!

Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the {**OT**} law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE {**OT**} LAW!!"

*WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!

Galatians 2:14-16,20,21; Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!"

Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." **CHRIST REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW** by becoming a curse for us!

Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!"

Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was **WEAK AND USELESS**; for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!

Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear."

Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises.

Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a **SABBATH**day. These are a *SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!!

David, Moon, Quiznos you have taken one single word out of the context of the whole entire question and you completely ignore it and instead use that one word to judge me. Also Aligator, go read John 10:27-28, and David go read Job 38:1-18 and John 10:27-28. I don't know any of your hearts, and you all definitely don't know mine, but I know my Father's voice. I don't know about any of you, but I do hear that still small voice. If that means I'm crazy or that I need help, then I am crazy and I do need help, help that comes from the Lord. I said it before and I will say it again, I love God and I know He loves me. I don't know why, but He does. And there's nothing anyone can do or say to make me stop, even if it takes me to the grave. I pray for all of you. God bless you.

Morgan,

Where have you been.

Morgan, are these your words,

I know that whenever I close my eyes to pray I always feel Him right there with me, and He's hearing me. And every time I always hear that still small voice in my heart, saying "I love you my child." .

Now Morgan, I do not know about anyone else, but i did not judge you, i judged what you said.

You said that you FEEL Him there with me.

I wrote ' The JUST shall live by FAITH, feelings are not faith.

Romans 1 verses 16-17

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.

17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish,d just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Galatians 3 verse 11

11 Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”

Morgan, you are only being encouraged to live by FAITH, as the Disciples said LORD increase our faith, not their feelings.

Habakkuk 2 verse 4

4 Look at the proud one; his soul is not upright

but the righteous will live by faith.
