Posted : 15 Jun, 2020 08:17 AM Matthew 11:23-24 says Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. No, God isn't a genie, He's better than that, He's God. No, He won't grant our every wish, especially if we ask for it to please our own flesh, but He will if we have faith and believe that He will give us what we are asking. He may not give it to us the way we think He might and we may have to wait a while to receive it, but just know that you are praying to a mighty God. Whatever is impossible to you is possible to Him. If you need healing, He can heal you. If you need help financially, He can provide for you. If you are lonely, He can comfort you. Yeah, we'll still have doubt, but Matthew 17:20 says "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." What's impossible to God? Is there anything God can't do? Trust in the Heavenly Father. Cast all your cares upon Him. Give Him glory. Pray in Jesus name. Amen and God bless. Post Reply

In the most respectful and winsome way I can say this, you kind fellers might wanna check the contexts surrounding the Matthew and Mark passages AND then check out the OT contexts and circumstances that introduce each of the names for God that Quiz listed I’m quite sure you’ll find the fuller biblical contexts most helpful. We’re talking about God’s program here. We serve him. It’s not like I have it together either—just look at some of my ridicules posts, maybe even this one But consider the hyperbolic “mountain” Jesus wants us to move forward with might concern endurance or perseverance and other tests and temptations. Paul had all kinds of faith and prayed for the removal of a “thorn in the flesh” but Jesus wanted Paul to bear that “thorn in his flesh” because it made Paul dependent and humble. Lots of people in the Bible had faith but some never got what they wanted or at least not right away. Post Reply

Jesus in English is Yeshua or Joshua in Hebrew and means **GOD IS HELP**!! If you want to you can use any of the other names, but I'll just stick with God and Father and Lord. Post Reply

Isaiah 9:6 clearly includes “Everlasting Father” as a name for Jesus. Why do you want to subtract from God’s word?? You keep repeating Revelation 22:19 to other people on the forum when they take a way from God’s Word, and rightly so. But for some reason you think it’s ok for you to take away from God’s Word. Here’s a reminder for you, Revelation 22:19 says, “And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.” So, Prophetic, are you willing now to confess it’s a serious sin to take away from the Holy Spirit‘s list of inspired names for Jesus, which also includes “Everlasting Father”? I noticed in some of your posts, you’ve accused other people of committing the “unpardonable sin” for taking away or adding to the word of God. So, according to your >>own words,<< you've committed the unpardonable sin. So are you willing to confess your habitual sin of refusing to quote all of Isaiah 9:6 which includes “Everlasting Father” as an inspired name for Jesus?
