I see/hear a lot of arguing about various matters concerning the Bible and the world we live in. I think we can waste too much time going in circles about what is and what isn't, especially when there are people on two opposing sides.

Titus 3:8-11 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

There's no reason to fuss and fret over what others say. Even when Christ was faced with Pilate's questioning, He said very little. In fact, this impacted Pilate all the more, and he wanted to release Jesus, but didn't due to the pressure put on him by the crowd.

John 19:9-12 And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

Arguing with someone is mostly pointless. When we argue with our words, people tend to become bolder and cling to their position all the more because if they give in, they're surrendering to their opponent.

God's word is always enough, and He will make good on His Word, so we don't have to push it. His Word is piercing like a two-edged sword. When we share what He has said, there's nothing more we need to add. Someone can either accept it or reject it, but it falls on them.

Heb 4:12 or the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Be kind, be courteous, and be honest, but if someone rejects truth, then don't be afraid to walk away. God will still be there when you're gone, and He has it in his hands.

Matt 10:12-14 And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Toth writes,

"I see/hear a lot of arguing about various matters concerning the Bible and the world we live in. I think we can waste too much time going in circles about what is and what isn't, especially when there are people on two opposing sides."

You know your right Toth! I certainly don't want to be like the Messiah that called out the Pharisees (like on this forum) in his day to expose them, call them white washed sepultures, strain at a knat and swallow a camel and called them out like devilish serpents! And guess what Toth, he never sinned by stating the truth! Did you forget all those verses to the context of what you are telling us because of His silence LATER ON in front of His executioners, to die for us sinners?

Its always convenient to call it "arguing" and assuming it is when this IS A Biblical discussion forum! Right? Would not want to overturn any money changer tables now would we on this forum?

Jesus taught. He often called out the Pharisees because they literally pursued him wherever He went. I don't ever recall Him sitting there and arguing with them. He was straight to the point. Afterwards, they either left or He did to avoid them.

John 8:2-7 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Two chapters later we see a similar seen. They're angers and attempting to harass Jesus again. He teaches them and leaves. He's on Solomon's Porch at the Temple.

John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

They're bothering, He teaches them, they don't like it, and He leaves.

John 10:39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

When he chased out the money changers, He was just arriving in Jerusalem at the Temple to preach. As soon as he chased them out, what did He do? He preached. He did his Father's business and was healing the sick. These were the same people that were being preyed on at the temple.

Matt 21:13-14 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

The same people constantly following and bothering him were angry about this. Jesus gave a brief response and walked away.

Matt 21:15-17 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

Jesus was always looking to preach, as well as help those who were in need and seeking Him. Sometimes He preached to the Scribes and Pharisees, and other times they were obstacles that were briefly dealt with by either addressing them directly, and even leaving at times.

Be blessed. :)

Colossians 3:16: Let the **WORD OF CHRIST** dwell in you richly as you **TEACH AND ADMONISH** one another with all wisdom!

2 Timothy 3:15,16: 4:1,2: You have known the **HOLY SCRIPTURES**, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. **ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED** and is useful for teaching, **REBUKING**, **CORRECTING** and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: **PREACH THE WORD**!! {**WHICH IS THE ENTIRE NEW COVENANT AND NEW TESTAMENT**!!} Be prepared in season and out of season; **CORRECT, **REBUKE** and encourage--with great patienceand careful instrruction. For the time wikll come when people will not put up wit sound doctrine!

**DOES GOD"S WORD SAY THAT **ADDING** OR **TAKING WORD'S AWAY** FROM GOD's WORD IS AN UMPARDONABLE SIN**??

Revelation 22:16,18,19: "I, Jesus. have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Churches.... I warn everyone who hears the **WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK**: If anyone **ADDS** {Like Quiznos and Kristofer} anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this Book {Including **ETERNAL HELL**} And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** {Like Quiznos, Kristofer and KJVonly} from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this book."

John 16:12,13: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the Truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify Me because it is **FROM ME THAT HE WILL RECEIVE WHAT HE WILL MAKE KNOWN TO YOU**"

And holy spirit inspired the 8 writers of the 27 books of the New Testament to write everything Jesus told him to write!!

Hebrews 11:1,2: Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,**FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS**, the **AUTHOR** and **PERFECTER** of our faith!

THE GREAT COMMISSION: Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on ***EARTH*** has been given to Me {Not some RC Pope}. Therefore go and make disciples of *ALL NATIONS*...teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING** {The entire NT} I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very *END OF THE AGE*!”

Thanks for sharing those scriptures. Another one that I think a lot of people know.

Matt 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

I think this is true when you preach and they try to use what you say as ammo after they twist it. Instead it's better to plant a seed, avoid the conflict, and leave. Let the seed blossom under God's care. If you sit and argue, you're not helping the seed sprout.

Toth,

We have to deal with a persons perception of what an arguement is.

You need to add some context with the scriptres you posted, as many christians pick a subject then find scripture to make that sunject float.

Actually Toth Richard forgot one additional verse he usually posts with the above post of his but strangely left out this time. Let me help you with that Toth. He is as much an inspiration to me as he is to you I'm sure Toth. He is my hero also! Here is the verse! ENJOY!

Richard apparently does not have a mirror in his trailer where he lives in Florida, for he states below....

Quote

**DOES GOD"S WORD SAY THAT **ADDING** OR **TAKING WORD'S AWAY** FROM GOD's WORD IS AN

UMPARDONABLE SIN**?? end quote.

Revelation 22:16,18,19: "I, Jesus. have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Churches.... I warn everyone who hears the **WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK**: If anyone **ADDS** {Like pathetic7744 has done} anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this Book {Including **ETERNAL DEATH**} And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** {Like pathetic7744 does many times like below quote} from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this book."

Proof below pathetic7744 **TAKES WORDS AWAY**

Richard7744 states this all throughout the forum - Isaiah 9:6: Quote of Richard - "For unto us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor and **MIGHTY GOD**!" end quote.

For Isaiah 9:6 REALLY says in the NIV - "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, >>>Everlasting Father,<<< >>>Prince of Peace."<<<

THERE IS NO translation that EVER leaves out the words "Everlasting/Eternal/Eternity Father" in any other Bibles. Nor does Richard's favorite NIV leave out the words that Richard the pathetic7744 does! Wow!

Oh I almost forgot Toth!

I just wanted to "plant a seed, avoid the conflict, and leave" this quick evidence about Richard. Now I will "Let the seed blossom under God's care." And Toth please don't "argue" that truth I posted but just "sit" and maybe hide under your bed? Remember "you're not helping the seed sprout" unless you hide under your bed. OK?
