Is there something wrong with looking forward to Heaven?

Let me ask this question with a question. If you are a christian, then what made you want to become one? Because while you were living in sin you decided that you love God so much that you wanted to change? No, we don't get saved because we first loved Him, we get saved because He first loved us. The reason we get saved is because we are scared of where we'll end up if we don't stop living in sin. All it takes is confessing with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord. We asked Him to change us, because we couldn't change ourselves. He didn't turn us away because He loves us. And we live for Him because we don't want to end up in the same place we were before. Heaven isn't just a simple place. It's home. Home for all of His children. A home that God created for us. We don't deserve to such a place like that, especially myself. But we're not going to get there because we deserve it, we'll get there because we come to Him.

Absolutely nothing wrong with looking forward to heaven! Freedom from sin, suffering and death. Finally to be with Jesus who is God our Lord and Savior!!
Jesus said he came to save only sinners not the “righteous” (those who only think they’re righteous).
Paul said he was the chief among sinners. But hardly anyone loved Jesus more than Paul.
Jesus clearly came to save such.
He said this of one very special woman noted in the book of Luke 7:44 And turning to the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give Me water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not greet Me with a kiss, but she has not stopped kissing My feet since I arrived. 46You did not anoint My head with oil, but she has anointed My feet with perfume.
47Therefore I tell you, because her many sins have been forgiven, >>>>>she has loved much.<<<<< >>>>>But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”<<<<<
Perhaps Simon, the Pharisee, might easily have traded places with the sinful woman if only he had realized how much God hates hypocrisy and false teaching.
Maybe that’s why Jesus said to the religious elite in Mathew 21:32 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
Guilty sinners who've long carried a great burden of sin but find forgiveness and love in Jesus obviously will love Jesus more than the hoe-hum self-righteous religious nut who thinks he’s God’s pet and better than others.
Jesus said whoever loves him keeps his commandments.
1 John 5:3 says the same
“In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome”
His commandments are not a “burden” because of love.
How many of us want to be married to someone who considers loving us a burden???

The Bible clearly says we are not saved by our “good” works because no one can produce works that are sufficiently good enough to avert judgement.
But some people confuse the evidence of one’s love for God with the false doctrine of “works salvation”.
Some go so far as to insist that no change of behavior should follow true salvation and to say otherwise is tantamount to teaching salvation by works of the law.
Worse yet, some even preach sinful patterns of behavior do not need to change at all—period!!
But which of us wants to be married to a person who claims they now “love” us but they continue cheating on us and beating on us with the frequency they’ve done before??

Hebrews 12:26-28: God says, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens. The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken--that is created things--so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a *KINGDOM* that can not be shaken let us be thankful...for our God is a consuming fire!
2 Peter 3:10-13: But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will DISAPPEAR with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and *EVERYTHING* in it will be burned up {NIV}. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you wait eagerly for the Day of God to come. {NIV} That Day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise **WE** are looking forward to a New heavens and a New Earth, the home of righteousness.
I Corinthians 15:50--51: I declare to you brothers, that flesh and blood CANNOT INHERIT the *KINGDOM OF GOD*... Listen I tell you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet."
John 18:36: Jesus says, "My *KINGDOM* is not of this world....But now, my Kingdom is from another place!!"
Matthew 25:31-34: Jesus says, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory , and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people on from another... He will put the sheep on the right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right, "Come you who are blessed of My Father, take your inheritance, the *KINGDOM* prepared for you!!"

Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a *CITY* (The *NEW JERUSALEM*} for them!!
Galatians 4:25,26: Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the **JERUSALEM** that is **ABOVE** is free, and she is our MOTHER !!
The New Jerusalem is described in Revelation 21:9 to Revelation 22:5. The New Jerusalem will be 12,000 stadia long, high and wide as per Revelation 21:16. A stadia is 606 feet long which is the exact same length as the ancient Greek stadium. 606 feet times 12,000 equals 7,272,000 feet which is 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet. A mile is exactly 5,280 feet. {1377 times 5,280 feet equal 7,270,560 feet.} And so the New Jerusalem will be exactly 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet long, wide and high!!
Revelation 21:9-12,15-16,19,23,27; Revelation 22:1-6: The angel said to John, “Come, I will show you the Bride the Wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God It shone like the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel. It had a great high wall {1377 miles plus 1,440 feet HIGH!} with 12 gates, and with 12 angels at the gates.
The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the City, its gates and its walls. The City was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the City with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia {A Stadia is exactly 606 feet} in length, and as wide and high as it is long. {1377 miles plus 1,440 feet long, wide and high} The wall was made of Jasper, and the City of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone....... The great street of the City was of pure gold, like transparent glass...... Only those written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be able to enter the New Jerusalem!
Then the angel showed me the river of the Water of Life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb {Jesus} down the middle of the great street of the City. On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month... The throne of God and of the **LAMB** will be in the City, and his servants will serve Him. They will see His face and His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night!! They will not need the light of the lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign **FOR EVER AND EVER**. The angel said to me, “These words are TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE!!”
JESUS WILL WRITE ON US THE NAME OF THE CITY OF GOD THE **NEW JERUSALEM**!!
Revelation 2:18; 3:12,21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes I will give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it... I will write on him the name of the City of My God, the **NEW JERUSALEM**, which is coming down out of heaven from My God....And I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
According to Revelation 22:3 the only 2 thrones in the **NEW JERUSALEM** will be the thrones of the **FATHER** and of the **LAMB** Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, "For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with His angels and **THEN** He will **REWARD** each person according to what they have done!"
Daniel 12:3: Those who are wise and impart wisdom will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever!
Matthew 5:11,12: Jesus says, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your **REWARD** **IN HEAVEN**!”
I Corinthians 9:24-27: Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes in to strict training. They do it to get a **CROWN** that will not last; but we do it to get a **CROWN THAT WILL LAST FOREVER**! Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize!
Luke 11:33,34: Jesus says, "Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a **TREASURE** IN HEAVEN** that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your **TREASURE** is, there your **HEART** will be also!"
According to Revelation 19:14 all of God's saints will ride heavenly white horses that fly which will be their transportation in the fantastic and amazing new earth. And they will be able to play with amazing new animals who will all be vegetarians as per Isaiah 65:25!! And then God's saints will have millions of very friendly new friends who will love us just the way we are!!

Quiznos, Jesus claimed to be the One who is creating a place for believers.
Since only God can create something out of nothing, are you now admitting that you are looking forward to meeting Jesus who is God the Creator, the 2nd member of the Trinity?
Just checking on your “LEARNER” progress about Jesus.
