John 16:13 However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth

"However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth". What is this verse saying? If this verse is to all believers, then it is a RADICAL departure from what people were doing at the time it was written. Namely, going only by a Book (the Old Testament) and what religious leaders told them it meant.

_________________________________________

So is this verse saying the Holy Spirit will come to some, and they will write a new Book (the New Testament) and then everyone will go back how it was before; going by a Book(s) and what religious leaders tell them it means? _____________________________I suppose the REAL question here is, what is the first order of importance for believers? The Holy Spirit? The Bible? Religious Leaders?

In context, these words of Jesus were said to his disciples who were about to embark on the reception of inspired NT scripture straight from the Holy Spirit. This kind of special Holy Spirit revelation, inspiration and guidance is not unlike the Holy Spirit’s special revelation, inspiration and guidance in the days of the OT writers.

A common Christian misconception overlooks John’s context and assumes Jesus was talking about all Christians everywhere receiving extra biblical revelation direct from the Holy Spirit.

This is quite false as demonstrated by the many Christians who believe they are receiving new revelation form God.

Any unskilled person observing these uninspired “Christians” giving false prophecies supposedly from the Holy Spirit which never comes to pass or only partially comes to pass are not of God.

Not to mention the jumble of contradictory teaching coming from those who believe they are being “guided” by the Holy Spirit. This self proclaimed “guidance” is often contrary to the Holy Spirit’s reveled teachings of truth found only in inspired scripture.

"....This is quite false as demonstrated by the many Christians who believe they are receiving new revelation form God...."

-----------

David, you cannot say something is false because it can be counterfeited. Rather the counterfeit implies the existence of the real thing.

I agree 100% that not everyone who claims to be guided by the Holy Spirit is in fact being guided by the Holy Spirit. Heck, for that matter I cannot say I'm following the Holy Spirit 100% of the time. Does this mean it isn't real? No, it just means we are imperfect human beings trying to follow a perfect GOD.

I 'assume' you put the Book before the Spirit. I disagree. The Spirit should come before the Book. We are called to drive the road, not drive the map. The map just tells us if we are on the right road.

**JESUS TOLD THE HOLY SPIRIT WHAT TO INSPIRE THE 8 WRITERS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT WHAT TO WRITE AS PER JOHN 16:12-14. AND SO JESUS IS THE **AUTHOR** OF THE ENTIRE NEW TESAMENT**!!

As usual Chuckles forgot to add John 16:14 to John 16:13 which fully explains John 16:13!!

We know that both the Apostles Paul and Peter were both martyred by order of Nero Caesar in December AD 66. We also know that the last books of the New Testament were written except for Revelation were 2nd Timothy and 2nd Peter from AD 42 to AD 63. We also know that Paul wrote 2nd Timothy right before his death in December AD 66 by Paul's statement in:

2 Timothy 4:6,7: Paul said, For I am already being poured out like a drinlk offering, and the **TIME FOR MY DEPARTURE IS NEAR**!! I have fought the good fight , I have **FINISHED THE RACE**!!

We also know that 2 Peter was written just before his death in AD 66 by Peter's statement in:

2 Peter 2:13-15: Peter said, "I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, because I know I will **SOON PUT IT ASIDE**...And I will make every effort to see that after **MY DEPARTURE** you will always be abe able to remember these things.

All of the other books except Revelation had been inspired by the holy spirit from AD 42 to AD 63. And by AD 66 all these inspired books had been delivered to almost all of the Christian churches within the Roman Empire.

And so Paul's inspired words in 2 Timothy and Peter's inspired words in 2 Peter were written just before they went to heaven which was just before December AD 66.

John 16:12-14: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more that you can now bear. But when he, the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will **GLORIFY ME** becacause it is **FROM ME**THAT HE WILL RECEIVE WHAT HE WILL MAKE KNOWN TO YOU**

And so the holy spirit inspired the 8 writers of the New Testament to say exactly what our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ told them to write!! And the last book of Revelation was also inspired by an angel of Jesus as per:

Revelation 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent **MY ANGEL** to give you this testimony {All of Revelation}**FOR THE CHURCHES**!"

Hebrews 12:2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the **AUTHOR** and **PERFECTER** of our Faith!

Matthew 28:18-20: Jesusus says, "**ALL AUTHORITY** in heaven and earth has been given to **ME**. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... Teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING** I have commanded!" {Which is the entire New Testament} And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age!!"

And so Paul's inspired words in 2nd Timothy in AD 66 about all Scripture being God Breathed included all the books of the NT except for Revelation.

Paul was inspired to write 2nd Timothy and Peter was inspired to write 2nd Peter just before being martyred by order of Nero Caesar in December AD 96. These were the last 2 books of the New Testament except for Revelation in AD 96.

All of the rest of the books of the inspired New Testament were written between AD 42 to AD 63 and were delivered to almost all of the Christian churches in the Roman Empire by AD 66.

And so Paul's inspired words in AD 66 in 2nd Timothy 3:15-17:4:1-3 included all the books in the NT except Revelation.

2 Timothy 3: 15-17; 4:1-3: You have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation **THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS. All Scripture is **GOD-BREATHED** and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His Kingdom, I give you this charge: **PREACH THE WORD; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-- with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people {Like Chuckles} will not put up with sound doctrine!

And also Peter's inspired words in 2nd Peter in AD 66 include all of the New Testament books except Revelation!!

2nd Peter 1:20-21: Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the holy spirit . {As directed by Jesus in the NT}

2nd Peter 3:15-16: Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our **DEAR BROTHER PAUL** also wrote you with the **WISDOM THAT GOD GAVE HIM**! He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand {For the unsaved}, which ignorant and unstable people distort, {Like Chuckles} as they do other Scriptures to their own destruction {Eternal torment in hell}

I Peter 1:23-25: For you have been **BORN AGAIN**, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, **THROUGH THE LIVING AND ENDURING WORD OF GOD**! All people are like grass, and their glory like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the **WORD OF GOD ENDURES FOREVER**!! And this is the **WORD** that was preached to you!

Hebrews 12:2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the **AUTHOR** and **PERFECTER** of our Faith!

Chuck, if you are Orthodox and a Christian, then why are you so in conflict with Paul, as he would've been the same. He was a Pharisee, and even when that sect was broken, and led to the arise of the Sadduccees and Essenses, the Pharisees were the first, followed by the Sadducces, then the Essenses.

Acts 23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

In fact, it appears he stated this because of orthodox law. If not, it's likely that an attempt would have been made to kill him. He was standing before Pharisees and Sadducces. That would also explain why he called out their divide. If the Pharisees would've killed one of their own, they would've weakened their disagreement with the Sadducces.

Acts 23:8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

Acts 26:16-18: The Lord Jesus said to Paul, "Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you and **APPOINTED YOU** AS A SERVANT AND AS A WITNESS OF WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN AND WILL SEE OF ME**! I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes and turn then from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they my receive **FORGIVENESS OF SINS** and a place among those who **SANCTIFIED BY FAITH IN ME**!"

1) I am not Othodox. You must of picked that mistruth up from the guy who constantly stalks and harasses me spreading whatever lies he can twist. (there are other forms of Judaism)

2) Yet, another lie you've picked up from our "friend". I am NOT in conflict with Paul. Granted, some of his ideas are extremely radical for Judaism, but I get Paul. What I am in conflict with is: How Christians read (misread) Paul.

For example; They take Paul's words from a letter he wrote to Timothy asking him to bring the coat he forgot in Troas and make them into words uttered directly from GOD's lips through inspiration. Come On!

Chuck,

How do you "read" Paul's writings?

Do you believe Paul left his cloak with Carpus?

It's not a statement of law. It's a statement about an event and either it's true or it isn't. If it's true, should it be regarded or disregarded?

And yep, it can be confusing with prophetic sometimes, and maybe I mistook him saying you were Orthodox. If that is the case, I apologize, as I do not attempt to spread falsehoods.

And prophetic, stop being a naughty boy. :)

Chuck, (1) How do you "read" Paul's writings? Do you believe Paul left his cloak with Carpus? (2) It's not a statement of law. (3) It's a statement about an event and either it's true or it isn't. If it's true, should it be regarded or disregarded?

TOTH,

(1) I view Paul's writings as Rabbinic writings. Paul as a "Pharisee of Pharisees" is doing the same thing the Pharisees were doing but from a Christian perspective. When Paul wrote a letter to a Church or person he didn't think he was writing new Laws equal to or greater than Moses or Jesus. Where Paul writes about religious and spiritual matters he often engages in Christian PaRDeS.

(2) Sure Paul left his coat, why else would he ask for it?

(3) Statements about events and literal meaning are to be taken as true but when a Biblical author crosses over into hints, interpretations and mystical meanings, these areas, although valuable, inspiring and encouraging, are not things to build important doctrines on and then instruct others to accept at threat of eternal damnation.

Mark 7:18,19: Jesus says, "Are you so dull?" He asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." In saying this. Jesus declared **ALL FOODS "CLEAN!" Then Jesus said: "What comes out of a man is not what makes him **UNCLEAN**. For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All theses evils com from inside and make a man **UNCLEAN**!"

Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a **SABBATH** day. These are a *SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!!

Every born from above believer believes every word of Pauline's epistles is the Word of God!!

Chuckles Satanic Quotes:

"Paul's advice should stand or fall on its own, rather than being declared words from the lips of God and therefore "New Commandments." "Paul's advice is not a New Commandment from God." "Who made Paul's words into God's word for all churches for all time????

"You have no Scriptural support to back your assertion that Paul can impose (new) Commandments as Moses and Jesus."

"Who gave Paul equal authority with Moses and Jesus to write new commandments?"

***NEITHER MOSES OR PAUL HAD THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE NEW COMMANDMENTS**!!

2 Peter 1:20-21: Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit!

God the Father inspired the 32 writers of the OT to write what He wanted them to write. Just as God the Father gave Jesus all authority in the New and better Covenant of faith and love.

John 16:12-15: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear . But when he, the Spirit of Truth comes he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he hears, an he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify Me because it is **FROM ME** THAT HE WILL RECEIVE WHAT HE WILL MAKE KNOWN TO YOU**! All that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said the Spirit will **RECEIVE FROM ME** what he will make known to you.

Hebrews 12:2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the **AUTHOR** and **PERFECTOR** OF OUR FAITH**!!**!!

Matthew 28:18-20: ! Therefore Jesus says, "**ALL AUTHORITY** in heaven and earth has been given to **ME**! Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... Teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU**{The entire New Testament}. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age!

And so Jesus told the Holy Spirit what he should inspire the 8 writers of the New and better Covenant to write the New and Better Covenant which included about 400 New Covenant commandments all inspired by Jesus!!!

We know that Paul was martyred by orders of Nero Caesar in December of AD 66 and we know that Paul was inspired to write 2 Timothy the last of his 14 inspired books just before he ascended into heaven because of 2 Timothy 4:6-8: Paul said, "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the Crown of Righteousness!

All the other books of the New Testament except Revelation were written between AD 42 and AD 62 and had been distributed to most of the churches in the Roman Empire And so 2 Timothy 3:16: 4:1-3 included all the books of the Bible except Revelation:

2 Timothy 3:15; 4:1-3: All Scripture is **GOD-BREATHED** and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus {The Author of the NT}, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His Kingdom, I give you this charge: **PREACH THE WORD** {The **ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT} Be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people {Like Chuckles} will not put up with sound doctrine.

And in AD 96 Jesus added the book of Revelation to the New Testament which Chuckles treats like a fairy tale.

Revelation 22:16,18,19: I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony **FOR THE CHURCHES**!... I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone {Like Chuckles}**ADDS* anything to them, God will *ADD* to that person the plagues described in this book {Which will include eternal torment in hell as per Rev 14:9-11}. And if anyone**TAKES WORDS AWAY** { Like the Preterists, Chuckles Sadlup, ADAM777 and Hark} God will **TAKE AWAY** from that person any share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The ETERNAL **NEW JERUSALEM**} which are described in this book!!

Peter 1:23-25: You have been **BORN AGAIN THROUGH THE LIVING AND ENDURING **WORD OF GOD**!! All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field, the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the **WORD OF THE LORD STANDS FOREVER**. And this is the **WORD** that was preached to you.

Matthew 24:35: Jesus says, Heaven and earth will pass away, but **MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY**!"

Colossians 3:16: Let the **WORD OF CHRIST** dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom!

What did Jesus and the Word of God say about the Apostle Paul in Acts and in 2 Peter 3:15-16??

Acts 22:14-15 Ananias said to Paul, "The God of our ancestors has **CHOSEN YOU** to **KNOW HIS WILL** and to see the Righteous One and **TO HEAR WORDS FROM HIS MOUTH**. **YOU WILL BE HIS WITNESS TO ALL PEOPLE** of what you have seen and heard.

Acts 9:15: The Lord Jesus said to Ananias, "This man {PAUL} is **MY CHOSEN INSTRUMENT**to proclaim My name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel!"

Acts 20:27: Paul said, "For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the **WHOLE WILL OF GOD**!"

Chuckles &Satan claim the above 4 Scriptures that God inspired Luke to write are lies, thus making God a liar. These are definitely unpardonable sins which will earn chuckles eternal torment in hell.

2 Peter 3:15,16: Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our **DEAR BROTHER PAUL ALSO WROTE WITH THE WISDOM THAT GOD GAVE HIM**! He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand {For the Lost}. which IGNORANT AND UNSTABLE PEOPLE DISTORT, {Like Chuckles} as they do other Scriptures to **THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION**!{Which would be eternal torment in hell}

John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a Judge for the one {Like Chuckles} who does not accept My words {The entire NewTestament} that very word which I spoke will condemn them at the Last Day!"

Galatians 6:2: **FULFILL THE LAW OF CHRIST**!!

Hebrews 12:2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the **AUTHOR** AND **PERFECTER** OF OUR FAITH**!
