Why then is there such an extreme diversity of belief amongst believers in God? So much diversity results only in opposing and contradictory theologies
I’ve often wondered why different people accept different interpretations of the Bible.
Some people claim only their interpretation is the right one no matter what.
Some people claim everybody’s interpretation is right or at least valid and everybody else ought to step back respect that “fact”. And if you dare to disagree you’re called the intolerant devil.
Some people think nobody is right and no one dares disagree with that “fact” either because that’s the “only right way to believe”
I’ve watched a few court cases in which the prosecution presents evidence against a defendant. The defense then presents its own set of facts and tries to refute the evidence the prosecution has presented.
But sometimes the power fact and solid indisputable evidence doesn't matter to the defense and in some cases to the persecution.
Some courts have even been known to withhold evidence that would have changed the entire outcome of a verdict.
Sometimes juries are about as logically inept at determining guilt or innocence of the accused just like many God believers are at determining truth from error.
Even more troublesome, sometimes members of the jury are preselected by the court according to their biases. Obviously an unorthodox court stacks the jury in hopes of a favorable outcome. Sorta reminds me of certain pastoral candidate hearings
I think some of the above might help explain just a few of the reasons why stupid decisions are made in courts of law. But I think that these examples are analogous to the theological arena as well.
I believe the Bible explains why people claiming to believe in God often arrive at the wrong decision about the doctrine of God and it’s found in several places throughout scripture. One is found Romans 1. Does anyone care to read this chapter and comment ?

The reason is you stake everything on the doctrine complete Biblical inerrancy This causes you to take Paul's words as equal or superseding the clear teachings of Jesus.
Like the verse you quoted from Paul. (even without factoring in Marcion editing) You take this verse as words from the lips of God, when it is actually Paul's rabbinical (Talmudic) Midrash. If you were Jewish, you would immediately recognize this!
So let's put your verse to the test:
I shouldn't have to prove to you there were different factions of "christianity" after the death and resurrection of Jesus. I.E. eboinites, essenes, the James group, Gentile Churches etc.... Guess what, they were not united in "thought and mind" as Paul said, BUT THEY WERE UNITED IN JESUS CHRIST despite their differing beliefs.
This is where you and others err: Thinking everyone MUST believe the same thing to be united.

Jesus is called **LORD** over 200 times in the New Covenant of Faith and Love. However the name lord does not always mean God since Jesus is called Lord of lords as per Revelation 17:14. However Jesus is also called God **SEVEN TIMES** in the New Testament and Chuckles like Satan teaches that Jesus is not God.
Revelation 17:14: They will make war against the **LAMB** but the Lamb will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and **KING** of kings and with Him will be His **CALLED** **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!
