Regardless, at some point in history, a child was born who would become the Savior of those who would willingly confess Him as their Lord. For some reason, when I hear this scripture in my head, it ends up being the voice of Charlie Brown. But regardless of who states it, it is one of the single most important events to have ever taken place, and all because of God's love for us. Isa 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. If l understand right, the Catholics openly co-opted a pagan holiday and traded Christian themes for the pagan ones. There was no deception there. I don’t think anyone, except for a few clueless chums think the 25th is the real birthday of Jesus. Post Reply

Sure, it may not have been Dec 25th, but the most important part of all of it is true. Our Savior and our King was born in a manger. He showed us what it means to be true royalty in God's Kingdom. As far as the controversy, I don't get into the pagan ideology so much, but it's there. Same thing with names of days of the week. I could go crazy challenging them, but I know what they are, and going in circles over it probably isn't going to change much, so I just smile and move forward. Do you believe the first syllable of Christmas should be pronounced **KRIS** instead of Christ in honor of Kris Kringle another name for Santa Claws?? The Anointed One, the Ruler will come after 69 7's {or 483 years}... He {The Anointed One} will confirm a Covenant for one 7 {7 years} . But in the middle of the last 7 {After 3 1/2 Years} He will put an **END TO ALL SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS**!! {Leaving 3 1/2 years for the future Great Tribulation which will put an end to sin and bring in **EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS**!! We know that the Resurrection of Jesus took place on April 5th AD 33. We also know that Jesus was anointed after 69 7's in the amazing prophecy on the 70 7's in Daniel 9:24-27, We also know that in the middle of the Last 7 years or after 3 1/2 years Jesus put an end to all sacrifices for sin. 3 1/2 years is 1278 days and 1278 days before April 5th AD 33 Jesus was Anointed and baptized which would be October 5th AD 29. And then after spending 40 days in the wilderness Jesus began His ministry on His 30th human birthday. And 40 days after October 5th AD 29 was the 30th human Birthday of Jesus on **NOVEMBER 14TH** AD 29!! Post Reply

I believe Christ was born during the Feast of Tabernacles. Was that the 15-21st of Tishrei which translates to Sept. 24-30th? That is as close as I can gather with the clues given in scripture. In fact, if God thought it was important, he could simply have solved the whole date thing by inspiring the Biblical writers to include it. Even some Roman Catholic’s know Jesus’ birth could not be proven to be on the exact date of December the 25th. Like I mentioned earlier, Roman Bishops, Constantine and others seemed to agree to chose a popular pagan festival to celebrate the birth of Christ in a failed attempt to Christianize the pagan culture. So basically even today we’re left with a bizarre marriage of paganism and Christianity. I believe some of the reasons debating the actual birthday of Jesus becomes unnecessarily controversial is because of basic historical ignorance, confident incompetence, inexcusable carelessness AND inability to separate fact from opinion. Goes to show he hardly comprehends very short posts. This is not a criticism of prophetic’s intelligence but his obvious laziness. comprehension takes a effort. Comprehension, reading and grammar are all very important studies to prepare one to properly interpret and understand literature. This explains prophetic’s consuming failure to properly interpret and understand scripture. Or even little short posts Post Reply
