No one can understand the Bible by failing to study and understand the Holy Spirit’s choice of language.
There are many reliable translations available today that clearly communicate God’s truth.
This is how the Holy Spirit communicates spiritual truth. He inspired holy men to write the original autographs. Many Bible translations attempt to convey that inspired truth.
That’s why a familiarity, at least, with the original languages in which the Holy Spirit inspired the Holy Scriptures is important.
There are so many study tools available today that no previous generations enjoyed.
The intensity of ones study to know God’s truth and to distinguish his truth from error is usually motivated by a deep love for God.
Less love, less study. More love, more study.
The more a person seeks and desires to know and obey God the more his love for God increases.
The more his love and obedience increase the greater his study and searching increases.
Those who claim to love God but do not seek him, study his word or obey him are simply fooling themselves.

I didn’t intend to imply that all believers must be experts in the original languages.
But that’s why our Lord says he provides “some to pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service.”
It’s a fact, the work of God inside people makes their love for Him grow and mature to higher levels that allows them to be used of God more effectively in teaching and leading others.
I’m STILL trying to get there too!!! Whew!!
But God keeps having to test me and try me but often finds me lacking. I’m just glad he’s not giving up!! He keeps increasing my level of maturity that ultimately will make my love for him and his people genuine.

Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
You then claimed that these Old Testament commands in Exodus 21:23-25 were still in effect and were not changed by Jesus???
