There are some on here who think that the Old Testament God , Yahweh is not the same one as the New testament Jesus.
For example in regards to dietary laws. They claim that was abolished at the cross.
Did a vulture stop eating carcasses?
Did clams become suddenly clean or do they still clean and filter nasty water?
Do pigs still eat snakes , feces, etc. Look up the vid on You Tube called why are pigs called pigs and tell me if you would want to eat that animal after watching that.
Do you think Yahweh is maybe a little bit smarter than his created humans ?
A pig's body doesn't waste time filtering out toxins from rotted food or indigestible materials. Instead, their bodies store the potentially harmful substances in the fat. Not only do the toxins go directly to fat storage, but they travel there quickly. Combined, this allows a pig to ingest a surprisingly high level of toxins. The laws are simple, rational and affirmed by modern science. God truly knows what is best and indicated this long before mankind was able to investigate disease-causing microorganisms, the life cycles of parasites or issues of environmental concern.
In Mark 7, Jesus was asked by the Pharisees why His disciples ate without washing their hands (which was a ceremonial tradition). Some translations (as seen below) add words to the answer that Jesus gave: (much like Richard the Parrot on this forum!)
…since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled? Mark 7:19 ( ESV) (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
However, it is important to note that the addition in brackets is not found in preserved Greek texts. What Christ was saying was that to eat dirt does not spiritually defile a person since it does not get to the heart and influence attitudes. This is the whole context of verses 18-23 but when it is taken out of context it seems to be talking about something else — especially when additional text is added.

Does that mean I believe that the God, Elohim, Jehovah of the Garden, of Noah, of Abraham, of Moses is different than the God of the cross, of grace, of Christ ? Of course not.
I think it was in the 1950's, here in the usa, a Presbyterian minister became convinced that he should offer animal sacrifices. he built an altar and ordained himself as a Levitical priest and offered sacrifices.

Thanks for posting. Of course most Christians know that the animal sacrifices on the alter in OT were fulfilled or completed at the pole/tree when Yah'shua died for all mankind. All the animal sacrifices pointed forward to when Yah'shua would complete all of that right on time at Passover!

Peter's vision from God about making unclean foods clean in Acts 10:11-15 and Acts 11:5-9 is shown to have a second application since God was also showing that he made the unclean Gentiles clean.
Acts 10:11-15: Peter became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its 4 corners. it contained all kinds of four footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. Especially in the sense that they made Gentiles aliens and strangers to the covenant, and without God and hope. Nailing it to his cross?. When the Jews nailed Jesus to the cross they drove the nails into their own law. The old dispensation was ended; the blood of the new covenant was shed from the wounds of the nails. Is that right too?
