This isn't a question if Jesus is God or not. Nor is it a question if God sent Jesus or not. Nor is it a question of the Trinity or not. This is a question to make you THINK. It is a reality check question. The question is WHO teaches it is mandatory for salvation to believe Jesus is a Trinitarian God?

Whereas those who believe in **SINLESS PERFECTION** believe that we have to earn our salvation and eternal life by doing **GOOD WORKS** and being **SINLESS** and that the only eternal reward is gaining eternal life by what we do; and if we commit even one small sin after we are saved we will loose our salvation and eternal life. And so man and not God becomes the Author and Finisher of our salvation.

I’m not aware of any scripture saying you must know all about the Trinity to be saved but you must believe Jesus is God because only God can forgive sin.
Obviously if all sin is ultimately against God it follows that only God can forgive sin

Prophylactic7744 essentially blocks almost all "productive" conversations between people. Like a condom he is 99% effective. But you made it through. Congratulations!

Now to your post:
I'm glad we agree Scripture doesn't teach belief in a Trinity as a requirement for salvation.
I willingly digress:
I find it fascinating how some Christians take the accusations of the Pharisees and turn it into doctrine. For example Mark 2:7. Yet Jesus goes on to say something different in Mark 2:10. Which btw is wholly consistent with Rabbis and Priests forgiving sin, an authority Jesus bestows upon the disciples in John 20:23.
However you bring a interesting point to the discussion: 'Since sin is against God, then only God can forgive it'
I think the presupposition that 'sin is against God' is faulty.
To explain:
God gives us instructions to follow not necessarily for His good but for our good. Therefore when we choose to not follow or break God's instructions we sin against ourselves.
What does God care if we follow His instructions or sin? It doesn't affect Him except that He loves us and it surely pains Him to see us indulging in self destructive behavior.
YET....when we view the "Penalty" for sin in light of the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 15:10) and its reconfirmation at Sinai (Exodus 19-24) and the conditions of breaking it (Deuteronomy 28) we realize
what we are forgiven of and what the New Covenant is.
This is what's important! Rather than in what way shape or form Jesus was or is God. I believe it is enough to believe Jesus was sent by God, represented God and that God was in Jesus reconciling the world back to Himself. If someone wants to believe this in a different way, for example a Trinitarian way, that's fine with me. But I must object
when they teach (add) requirements for salvation that are not taught in Scripture.
