Bible Literalist Cults - Misrepresenting the Gospel

One often hears the Bible declared "THE" Word of God. Yet God spoke and creation came into existence. The word of God came to the patriarchs and prophets. The word of God was manifest through Jesus. And those who listen hear God speak to them today. The Bible literalist would have you believe the only word of God we have now is the Bible. They essentially have created a Paper Pope. Even worse they have made the Bible into an Idol, worshiping it rather than the true living God who inspired the men who wrote it. This is nothing new: God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent to have the people look upon and be healed. It eventually had to be destroyed because the people turned it into an idol. Remember; the Bible is instruction on building a relationship with God. It is a tool, not God Himself. Use it to as an aid to attain a relationship with the Living God. If your sole relationship is with paper and ink, you've created an idol. If you disagree; I'll leave you with the words of Jesus: "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life."

**DOES GOD'S WORD SAY THAT *ADDING** OR **TAKING WORDS** AWAY FROM GOD'S WORD IS A SIN**??
Deuteronomy 4:2: The Lord said, "Do not **ADD** to what I command you and do not **SUBTRACT** from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you!!"
Deuteronomy 12:32: The Lord said, "See that you do all I command you, do not **ADD** to it or **TAKE AWAY** from it!!"
Proverbs 30:5,6: Every Word of God is **FLAWLESS**, He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him! Do not **ADD* to His Words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a **LIAR**!!
Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The Lord said to Moses, "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among your fellow Israelites, and I will put My words in His mouth. He will tell them **EVERYTHING** I command Him. I Myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My name!!"
John 14:21-24: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me... Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching, My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them.. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me!" {See Deut 18:17-19 above}

I have a relationship with both the **LIVING GOD** and the **LIVING WORD OF GOD** and we are only **BORN AGAIN THROUGH THE LIVING WORD OF GOD**!!

You are very confused my friend. We are not born again through reading the Bible. Granted it is helpful. It is the Spirit of God that makes us born again. Many listen to and read the Bible yet are never born again. You have idolized the Written word. The real power to give life is the Living Word of God. Orthodox Jews spend their life time reading, studying and doing the word of God as they interpret it, yet are not born again. You have the cart before the horse. It is the fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom. You think it begins and ends with the Written word? God is a real living being, we are created living beings, the Bible is a tool not the goal. Y'shua is the goal of Torah. Don't believe me? Check the Book.

What was that you were saying in your thread about judging others??
It seems those who cry the loudest about being “judged” are those who traffic in it
The fact you must rely of strawman arguments indicates you’ve lost touch with the real debate.
For those unacquainted with the categories of bad argumentation, the ”strawman fallacy” is a dishonest tactical device that seeks to exaggerate to the point of absurdity the beliefs of others.
The strawman argument is fallacious because it enables the lazy arguer to bypass debating the merits of a specific proposition. You see, it’s less trouble to create a false appearance of absurdity which is much easier to refute
