Do animals go to Heaven? I think they do or else there would have been no point to Noah's Ark and saving the animals. What are your opinions/thoughts?

I knew someone would ask this eventually : ). I've wondered about this before too. I actually just came across this passage after I read your post (not that it's very helpful in answering your question, but it is related): Ecclesiastes 3:19-21. I don't recall another passage about the subject, so I'm interested to see what others come up with.

There's no scriptural base for this, but it would be absolutely wonderful if it happened to be true!! :)

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

There don't seem to be any scriptural references concerning an afterlife for animals, but I did hear somewhere that All Dogs Go To Heaven, lol!

My Dad always said they go to the Happy Hunting Ground.

(I would think that would be Hell for the prey!!)

Blessings! :0) Juvie

Sorry guys, as much as we love our pets, the answer is no. God did not choose animals to be created in His image, nor can they believe in Jesus. Also, in Gen 9:3 God tells Noah that all animals are to be eaten. I never heard of God saying that about His chosen.

Blessings,

Leon

Some could argue this.... did he create muslims in his image? no... and although they aren't going to Heaven he still created them. That's like saying just because a square shape won't go into a cirle cut out, that doesn't mean the circle shape won't fit into the square. lol, yes that was a weird comparison but yeah, if animals have souls why can't they beleive in Jesus?

Muslims WERE created in God's image, just as every man, woman, and child that has ever lived was created in His image. Gen. 1:26,27

I don't recall ever reading anywhere that animals have an eternal soul, maybe you can help me out on that one?

We confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts unto salvation. When is the last time your pet talked to you about Jesus? How would they profess their belief to others? What about confessing sin, and asking for forgiveness? How about repentance? Or keeping the 10 commandments?

Sorry folks, I have a Lab that is like one of my kids, but it just isn't happening. Believe me, I wish I could tell you yes, but there is no single scripture that even gives hope. And yes, I know what the Catholic church is doing.

Blessings,

Leon

Revelation chapter 22: verse 15 let's us know that dogs are outside with the sorcerers and sexually immoral (y'all better watch yourselves if you're involved in sex outside your marriage, you going to be withthe dogs) and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and pracitce a lie. ALL not y'all, but ALL liars are going into the lake of fire... Oh, Lawdy! No more little bitty lies Leon, that will put you among the ALL...

I've been holding back trying not to ask this, but can't hold back any longer... Ok, smarty pants Leon, so what's with the living creatures John describes in heaven in chapter 4. And what's with the red, black, and white horses John saw in heaven, if animals are not in heaven. I know certain animals are not there, God said nothing unclean will enter the gates of His kingdom. So Where is the white horse coming from that Jesus will return back to earth riding... surely, He didn't rent him from Wilson's stable on earth:yay::excited::goofball:

:ROFL::ROFL::purpleangel::goofball:

Ella, Ella, Ella, you are so bad. Why you trying to confuse people? Talking like prophesy is read like the rest of the Bible? Are you trying to test me? LOL.

Okay, the horses are symbolic of the riders. Thus you have 2 white horses, one that is a false Christ, the other the real, just as the pale horse, what we call a blue horse here in Texas, represents the rider called death.

The only creatures I remember offhand (I am typing this in the dark, so I can't look it up) is the Cherubim. God sits between these two angels, on His throne. As far as i can remember, those are the only creatures talked about in heaven.

Blessings,

Leon

Well then there you go if a "Cherubim" can go to Heaven, who'se to say a Kiity kat (for example) can't? Don't tell me that Cherubim talk and have an eternal soul, etc.... maybe the other animals weren't mentioned because it didn't seem important?
