The mind of man is not spiritual nor will it ever be spiritual, any more than my feet or hands of my physical body are spiritual.

Man's mind is a part of Man's soul Which is includes THE Mind, The Will, The Emotion's

When any man or woman is born again they are instructed to renew their mind.

Man is always, that is The real man Man , The Spirit is always to direct his mind, we are never to allow our mind to direct us.

Do you know what words any man speaks are either form the will of the mind or of man's heart, his spiritual center.

The Soul of man was given to him for natural thing's as in this life on earth is natural, but man a spirit being was made to always have dominion over the natural realm.

When one study's the word of God and meditates there in his mind will be renewed by the water of the washing of the word.

If Man and this is very conditional, man is walking in the light of the word, abiding in Jesus by obedience the process continues, when man steps out of the light of God's word, which is rejecting God's word the longer anyone stays in that posture they walk out of the light of God's word and each step is walking into darkness.

This is why why it is so important to be a doer of the word, the Holy Spirit will not, and can not do man's responsibility for him, he was given to help us do the will of God.

Man's mind was made for the intellectual, mental realm, you do a math problem with the mind, if I sew a button on a piece of clothing my mind and the flesh are involved. The mind and the flesh will commune with one another, and if you allow them to be dominate you, I am out of spiritual order, The inward man is always to keep his members in to subjection to him, The spirit man.

When the mind is renewed and I might add this is a continual never ending process, it will not be so inclined to dominate you and the flesh will be more trained to the will of God.

The mind will hinder the word of God from getting to your heart, typically because an renewed mind will not accept the truth and the word of God must get past the mind to get to the heart.

Faith is not, nor will it ever be a part of the mind it is a product of the word of God planted in the heart of man as a seed and then faith begins to grow, it will not usually come instantly, it typically is a process of continuing to renew the mind of man to the will of God and allowing the word of God to fill your heart and when it does faith is born But it must be then continually feed to grow and to increase.

When You study the parable of The sower the first three people Group.s all heard the word of God and received it but ultimately got out of order by allowing the mind and the flesh to dominate the Spirit of man.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Notice in this scripture it is our responsibility to know the will of God, and one might also add you will notice the will of God is expressed on three levels, it is implied that which is good is not acceptable and our objective is to be in the perfect will of God on any topic. Do you know you can be in the will of God in a topic, and out of the will of God on another Topic.

Be blessed today as you renew your mind by the washing of the water of the word of God.

Here is a Good example of the mind and the flesh dominating man.

You know you need to get out of Bed and spend time in fellowship with The lord, in the word of God and in prayer, but you decide to roll over and go back to sleep.

Pro 2:1 My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,

Pro 2:2 making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

Pro 2:3 yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,

Pro 2:4 if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,

Pro 2:5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

Pro 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

Pro 2:7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

Pro 2:8 guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.

Pro 2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;

Pro 2:10 for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Pro 2:11 discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you,

Pro 3:13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,

Pro 3:14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.

Pro 3:19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens;

Pro 10:13 On the lips of him who has understanding, wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense.

Pro 10:23 Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.

Pro 11:12 Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent.

Pro 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.1Cor2:16

The Key is the first verse:

For instance I heard someone say recently that speaking in tongues is the gift of Tongues, that answer did not come from receiving the word of God, that is a response of rejecting the word of God.

Another time one heard about women in ministry because not being the will of God because they quote the context in timothy and thus reject scripture's saying otherwise.

That is another example of not receiving the word of God.

The word has to be rightly divided.

Truth is not to be established on any one scripture.

Blessings PJ,

Not sure which verse you are referring to as being the KEY verse?

I agree with you that our minds must be renewed by the washing of the word, amen to that brother.

Beautiful scripture on wisdom which is more precious than gold or silver, thank you brother Agape.

Ask and ye shall receive...seek and ye shall find.

The scripture says we have the mind of Christ, and it also says...

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jer 17:19

Jude shared: *** And this INCLUDES the "Mind"...for we are created in HIS image..."Born Again"...in..."Mind"..."Body"..."Soul"

Shalom shared: Ask and ye shall receive...seek and ye shall find.

And with this in mind, I ask that the Lord Jesus Christ continues to enlighten His children into having the same mind in Christ by loving the Lord with all their hearts, all their souls, all their strength, and with all their minds.

May the Lord bountifully bless your day in Him.

Jude I guess I was not clear enough Sorry.

We are told to study that we may... what Rightly dividing the word of truth, that we will not be ashamed.

Why is that so important because I said The mind is not Spiritual, it can not comprehend spiritual truths.

Rom 12:2~ And be not conformed to this world: but [[[ be ye transformed by the renewing of your "mind," ]]] that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2Cr 5:17~ Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

*** And this INCLUDES the "Mind"...for we are created in HIS image..."Born Again"...in..."Mind"..."Body"..."Soul"...Be Blessed

Romans 12:2 Very clearly States you are to renew your mind.

Who is the you in that verse, unless the bible teaches otherwise you is always the real man the spirit man.

2nd Corinthians 5:17 yes he is a new creature That again is the Spirit.

It is only The spirit man that is brand new.

Yes we are created in his image now here is the answer and likeness.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth

When the word of God declared we where created in his image, the father was then a spirit and is still a spirit being, never in a physical body, yes did take on a body and then he took on the man part.

Notice This scripture

Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

How many times have you heard that fallen man can not understand, the father sure didn't not believe that, where does he give the understanding in his spirit, you will find spirit and heart are one and the same.

Many times on this site it is said the heart is the mind and spirit, not what the bible teaches.

1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Notice what Peter says hear about the hidden man of the heart is a meek and quite Spirit, this is the new man in 2nd Cor 5:17

Ro 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Notice this scripture this again is the new man in Christ, the real man, the one that departs to be with the lord when the body expires.

2Co 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Notice the Scripture in 1st peter tells the new man the born again man his heart is not corruptible, 2nd Cor tells it is renewed daily, So when you see it posted the heart is deceitful, that is not rightly divided as according to the new covenant.

This new man is the you in romans 12:1-2 that is to renew his mind, why because it did not get saved..

Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Here again we are told to renew our mind, and then the new man is mentioned again.

Notice this scripture:

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Notice what the word does for us hear it divides the the soul, the spirit of man and the body of man, there is much to get out of this scripture by meditating on it.

I raised four children and you can readily tell when they are talking or when they allow their mind and flesh to take over.

It is not hard for A christian that has the Holy Spirit to know the difference of a man talking from his heart, or from his mind. Mn's words are one influenced by the mind or the heart. and those

that have no idea of this truth primarily communicate out of their mind, and that is your answer of the division between those that are born again, one being carnal, and one being spiritual.

Ok that being said notice this scripture:

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it isubject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

This statement was made about born again, spirit filled Christians

Tobe Carnally minded is to allow the flesh and mind to dominate the new man in christ, but we know in the verse before one can be spiritually minded, which is a reflection of the mind of Christ to think God's thoughts.

Why is this so important: to know the difference between the mind and the heart or Spirit.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

With the heart man believes God.

Mr 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mt 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

The heart is where the word is placed and where the spirit of of God dwells, faith is planted in the heart by first receiving the seed, the word of God.

If they are in Christ, they are a new creation. And that new creation is only done with one believing that Jesus died, according to the Scriptures, and rose according to the Scriptures. Nothing less than that is stipulated as a non-believer because the cross of Christ is foolishness to the non-believer, so if one comes to God knowing that He is and believes in Christ's atoning work on the cross for Him then he is a new creation and has passed from death into life and sees the kingdom of God via the new birth.

Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh SET THEIR MINDS on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit SET THEIR MINDS on the things of the Spirit.

In sum, the believer in Christ sets their mind either way you look at it, PJ. The ultimate truth is that the mind is still in control with the exception of putting new thoughts in it.

Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, that BY TESTING you may DISCERN what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

without the ind testing this, one cannot discern what the Lord has given. That is the whole crux of the matter of the prodigal coming to his own. He PONDERS on things and discerns...

Luk 15:17 "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!

Even Jesus said to count the cost of following Him. That takes a certain amount of thinking.

Luk 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?

Luk 14:29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,

Luk 14:30 saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.'

Luk 14:31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
