Chris said: Is it a sin? God told Adam and Eve to have sex and yet they were not married!!!! ...
Ella said: now Chris, this is too funny:ROFL:... Where on earth do you find in scripture where God told Adam and Eve to have sex, and they were not married.
Where is your scripture to support this funnt comment:laugh::excited:
As for sex before marriage, if you are a Bible student stuying to show yourself approaved by God in all things, then you somewhere long the road in your Bibe reading read about what God says about fornication, which is sex before marriage. Jesus spoke about it thorughout His ministry, and Paul has written all about it.
But that's neither here or there, I want to see this scripture about Adam and Eve being told by God to have sex and theye weren't married...
God insititude the marriage through Adam and Eve, therefore, when He brought Eve to Adam after He had created her this was consititude as marriage.
Genesis 1:28, is a prelude to chapter 2, it tell us what happen after God made Eve, and God blessed them which is the same as marrying them. C/mon Now, you know God didn't tell Adam and Eve to have sex BEFORE they were married.:excited:
God teaches us to flee(run) away from fornication, becasue those who practice such will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Give me a break, You know fornication, which is sex outside of marriage is a sin...:toomuch::laugh:
Chris, I'll tell you as I use to tell my two sons when they were growing up as teens and around your age... I would tell them, to keep your drug store closed, cuz you ain't got no free medicine to give out, and end up paying for the bill for 18 years.
God blessed them so according to you that constitutes marriage?
So I don't need to go through the process of marriage then to have sex do I? All I have to do is pray to god and get his blessing. Unless of course you are suggesting that the only way to get Gods blessing is by a formal marriage. And then I ask the question does God bless and accept every marriage? Sham marriages or people who are drunk and get married in Vegas etc.
my question then chris is, who would have done the "wedding ceremony" for adam and eve seeings that they were the only 2 people on the earth at the time? God would have married them when he created eve.
genesis 2:18-25
18And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. 19Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
21And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23And Adam said:
This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.
24Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Paul says a lot about marriage in I Corinthians 7. He begins this chapter in saying "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every women have her own husband."
Paul may very well be defining fornication here as having sex with someone who is not your spouse, and also as having a sex relationship, then breaking up and having sexual relations with someone else, and on and on. i Corinthians 7 does not tell us exactly how a couple becomes married. We can assume though that they have bonded together and mutually agree to stay together as man and wife, no matter what. That would be consistent with other scriptures, especially on divorce.
Sweetheart it doesn't matter if the marriage is a scam, sham, or a ban-thank ya mama... if you are not married according to the law of the land, which consititues a married couple according to God's word, adn you have sex, God says is a SIN and its called fornication and fornicator will NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN!
So if you're having sex and you're not married to the person, pull your pants up and repent of your sin and go there or naywhere else NO MORE!
Halfback ahs given a clear definition of the word fornication or what it means to fornicate, and you are a very bright young man so I', sure you understand and comprehend the dfintion.. and there is nothing to justify sex outside of marriage according to God's word.
We ALL have practice such in ignorance of God's word, but we are told in God's word that when the truth has been told and we come into the light of our senses from our darkness of sins, then we are to obey what is written in the word of truth with fear and tembling. The choice to obey is up to each person... But as it is also written that the person who knows to do right, and does not do it to them it is sin. So if you willfully sin after knowing the turht, you are fgoing to have soem problems with God, becasue He will hold you accountable, and will chastise you which ever way and manner He feels fits the sin.
Here are some passages for you to read if you're interested. Matthew chapter 5; Acts chapter 15; I Corinthians chapters 5-6-7; 2 Corinthians chapter 7; Galatians chapter 5; Ephesians chapter 5, I thessalonians chapter 4Cololossians chapter chapter3.
I'm sure after you have read what God says in all these chapters you will come to a better understanding of what God is speaking about. You don;t play with sin just to satisfy your flesh.
