Some how I hit the wrong button.

What I want to say is very true and straight to the point.

Jesus told the rich man to sell everything he has and follow him.

Why did the rich man leave sad?

Paul was stoned once almost until death, he had to make tents to live.He was not rich. He was jailed for the cause and had his head cut off. He and others were whipped and beaten. Is this health and worldly way of getting rich?

Where is the promise of wealth and health in this world?

We are called to follow Jesus with out profitting ourselves from the disadvantage of others. We are to give our lives for the cause.

Is writing books and asking for money Gods will?

Oh, what a sacriface some make just to own a fancy car and have 2 or 3 homes,

Take that misteaching of the health and prosperty teaching

and flush it down the toilet.

Dennis

A-men, Dennis!! I'm glad my treasures are layed up in heaven! I can do without the homes and fancy cars on earth. Some of those mega church preachers will be in hell while many poor people will be enjoying their mansion in heaven. But they made their choice. Money over Jesus!

Hey Dennis:

Very well said.

I agree 100%

1Pe 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

1Pe 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

I guess suffering, persecution, and possibly the loss of all things,is not int the agenda of the Health and Wealth Society.

Aloha

ps: Keep up with the good posts.

Amen Dennis! :applause:

I've often wondered about those men (and women) that make so much money from their ministries.

Dennis as for wealth that is a topic that should cover any aspect of life here upon the earth, the bible does not teach lack is true wealth, nor will lack ever glorify God. the good news to the poor is you do not have to be poor no more. Now saying that, I did not by any means insinuate any condemnation to those that are challenged financially, but the perfect will of God is abundance.

What you will commonly see in those that fuss about wealth is selfishness.

Are there any passages that teaches that God forbids anyne from being prosperous financially in business from using theor gifts and taent in business to become wealthy and successful?

And How does a person become successfukl in business, is it God who does this by allowing welath to come into a person's life? Or is it the person who makes this happens?

God says He rains on the saints and the sinners, so what does all this mean?

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. Read 1Timothy chapter 6, et.

True story, Dennis.

Proverbs 30: 8~"Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord! or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain."

Matthew 13:22~The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Great post, Dennis. While it is true that some Believers may be better off financially than others, and some may have better health than others, the so-called health and wealth gospel is garbage. The poor we will always have with us, and the dying die everyday from disease and illness. That alone tells me that there is no gospel of health and wealth for Believers. What really peeves me is when one of these health and wealth blabbers tell people the reason they are not healed physically or why they are not financially well off, is due to some sin or the lack of faith in the Believer. How many people have been destroyed by this garbage? How many have given all they had, believing they would get a storehouse of whatever the soup du'jour was for the days preaching? Personally, I believe wealth is God meeting your needs, health is your relationship with God. Anything extra, praise God. But if all the extra is taken away, will those who are used to living the lifestyle of a health and wealth gospel, still praise God if one day they woke up in a one-bedroom shack, driving a 30 year old beater car and their [so-called] ministry gone?
