passover in Christ,

Since you asked this I will give you a clear statement about the salvation prayer.

Do i understand you right from my testimony post?

The salvation prayer I believe is in scripture.

Did jesus say that we are to confess him as our lord and savoir?

he did say if we deny him he will deny us.

The salvation prayer like my testimony statement is bible discussion.

The testimony says who we are in Christ.

The confession is a statement of our faith.

Who says that it can not be a prayer?

Why can it not be?

i hope that this clears somethings up passedover.

I also hope this points out that all our testimonies are biblical discussion for anybody else that wants to know.

Paul had his on the Damascus Road.

Dennis

Hey Dennis:

Do I cofess before i believe or after i believe.

Is repentance the requirement for Salvation,Or is just trusting Christ enough.

I see nowhere within the Scriptures that it is Christ and anything.

I see trusting Christ and Him alone,is all he asks for.

The just shall live by his faith.

If repentance is first required then this is working for Salvation.

If repentance is the result of my trusting Christ, then this is faith active within me.

Mark 1:15

Christ says to Repent believe the gospel.

This means to turn from not believing the Gospel to believing the Gospel.

I love you Dennis:

Aloha

George that would even qualify as hot air, by the way christ is not a person.

No confession no salvation, no new birth.

It amazes me how many different boxes people try to put God in!

Ones salvation depends on God, people accept or reject it in a infinite number of ways.

@sparrow:

Either Christ saves or He does not.

@Phillip:

Can you show even one tiny Scripture to show that christ is not a person.

And you want to tell others about Christ.

@Passedover

Christ saves according to His good plesure and is not bound by restrictions placed upon Him by man; this includes any you might conjure up. For instance to say no one can be saved by praying "a sinners prayer" (when the sinners prayer is often the outward result of a inner work of the Holy Spirit ) is ridiculous! A "formula" does not save be it a sinners prayer or having "faith" as faith is defined differently from person to person. The demons have faith, 'they believe and shudder', are they saved? Have they said a sinners prayer?...yeah, there is a eye opener!

I found this all very interesting, as I always thought a prayer is also a confession of faith.

Also a prayer can be an act of repentance as there are many different kinds of prayers.

What is prayer:

GOD speaks and i listen.

I speak and GOD listens.

Is there any power in a Prayer absolutely not.

Power belongs to GOD.

Psalm 62 verse 11

Young's Literal Translation

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 To the Overseer, for Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of David. Only -- toward God is my soul silent, From Him is my salvation.

2 Only -- He is my rock, and my salvation, My tower, I am not much moved.

3 Till when do ye devise mischief against a man? Ye are destroyed all of you, As a wall inclined, a hedge that is cast down.

4 Only -- from his excellency They have consulted to drive away, They enjoy a lie, with their mouth they bless, And with their heart revile. Selah.

5 Only -- for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him is my hope.

6 Only -- He is my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.

7 On God is my salvation, and my honour, The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

8 Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour forth before Him your heart, God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9 Only -- vanity are the low, a lie the high. In balances to go up they than vanity are lighter.

10 Trust not in oppression, And in robbery become not vain, Wealth -- when it increaseth -- set not the heart.

11 Once hath God spoken, twice I heard this, That 'strength is with God.'

12 And with Thee, O Lord, is kindness, For Thou dost recompense to each, According to his work!

Prayer is like the wires running throughout ones house.

There is no power in the wires.

The wires receive the power produced by the powerstation some distance away.

How do i know there is a connection.

When i flip the switch and the light go on.

Aloha
