Since this forum belongs to everyone; I have some questions for everyone who reads this section. I don't mean to be rude, and maybe I am wrong, if I am wrong please let me know.

Here is the situation as I see it; It is a free forum, everyone is free to post, however for it to be the best we must all submit to one another. That is why someone suggested it might be best for people to limit their "New Topic Posts" to one a day so that topics stay on page one long enough to get a good discussion. Sure you can go to page two, but you are basiclly discussing with yourself. Yet there are always some people who refuse to submit to one another and mess up a good things for everyone....(just my opinion).

So here are my questions :

1) Do you think it is a good idea for people to limit "New Topic Posts" to one a day, obviously with exceptions when you've a couple good things to post.

2) Do you think it makes the Bible discussions move to fast when people repeatedly post 2-3 New Topics a day?

3) Are you reading the "Bible Study 101" posts?

Feel free to answer yes/no or elaborate, but by ALL means please answer, this is not about bashing anyone personally, it is about letting your voice be politely heard so that all may act for the good of all.

Yes, Yes, and No.

I would add that making a topic out of a 'cut and paste' article(or commentary) only, isn't fruitful. Articles are great, but at least add some of your own commentary to it, ie, do you agree with it? what parts? all of it? is there a question?, etc.

Just my two cents. :)

1. Yes ___________________ 2. Yes ________________ 3. No ____________________ ________ Using this venue to try to cause people to get angry and stumble is terrible. Two, thanks for trying again, (nicely) What's more terrible is Using Bible Study postings to do it.

Yes, yes, and no

I would like to second what T said about the cut and paste. Personally, I don't really get into lengthy articles. Don't know why, maybe attention span, even though I don't have ADD. (At least that's what the doctor said.) For me personally, I do better reading people' s thoughts and comments in short chunks, not long essays.

Don't feel bad, catty...If I have to pay attention to something long and written out like that, for some reason I feel much better when someone is speaking it with their mouth, and they have to say it with passion in them for, at least visible interest in what they're reading.

I don't know... I'm impossible.

1) Yes, but I think this should be done voluntarily out of consideration for others, rather than because it's a "rule." I rarely start topics, but I have been known to post two or three in one day if I was thinking up good (in my opinion) questions. I wouldn't necessarily like being limited to only one per day, and I don't imagine others would like it either.

2) Yes. If people think the articles are interesting, fine...but perhaps they could post just snippets of really interesting, unique, or controversial articles, and add their own comments or questions. Links are prohibited; I don't see much different in copying and pasting an entire article or posting a link to the article.

3) Nope. I don't have the patience to wade through those topics.

(I hope I didn't offend anyone with my answers...I'm just stating my personal opinion, I'm not trying to stir up trouble, and I'm well aware of the tension that has been felt on this site recently.)

Yes, Yes and No...No hard feelings anyone. Love you all. But it would be easier to talk and ask questions, if the postings would slow down a bit. I'm one of those slower learners. Thank you and God bless..Kay

1) Yes. I think it's a good idea, but feasible? Not sure about that. I think any new threads should have an obvious topic for discussion. IOW, don't just post a verse out of the Bible and use it to build a judgment against people who don't agree with you. And if it's a topic that has been beaten to death, we don't need a resurrection of a 25th one.

2) Yes. It bums me when there's a good discussion with various thoughts and views, and along comes 3 or more new threads that push the good discussion onto the second page. I have noticed that sometimes the new threads are related to an existing discussion and I don't see why those thoughts can't be added to the existing discussion without starting new threads on a related topic.

3) No. I don't like reading long articles. Especially from a source outside our discussion group.
