Posted : 5 Oct, 2011 09:25 PM Christianity is not meant to be walked alone, and it is very dangerous to have a non-Christian mate who WILL try to steer you away from Christ. Someone with that much influence on you will try to pull you with them. Looking for a Christian mate will not only keep you from straying but will also reinforce your faith and help you to grow by having someone to go out and represent Christ with not only in activities like evangelizing but also when going out as a couple and allowing your Christian love to radiate. My former spouse never became saved but he never stopped me from raising my chidren in the christian faith or from going to church. He just didn't participate. It definately hindered me in my own walk with Christ and I was unable to share that part of my life with him or have him understand things the way I did. I keeps two people from being emotionally intimate with each other because I believe if you share the same belief's that is where there is true intimacy. I am now trying to catch up on all I missed. I definately don't recommend marriage to someone who is not a christian. Take it from someone who has been there and done that. Wish I could have convinced him to believe but it was his choice not to. Post Reply

But I prefer someone that's my domination which isBaptist that way we are on the same page both Spiritually and teaching wise. But, it's not biblical to date someone of another religion if you are a true Believer. Just like with the Hebrews in the Old Testament. But, relationship ways it's not only important to have him/her be a Believer it also kinda helps if he/she's the same demonination :glow::glow: Post Reply
