liddyBiddyBaby View Profile History	hurt Posted : 13 Nov, 2008 07:33 AM sometimes u hold on to things way longer than u should and then u feel hurt. it is nothing different really, because u felt it all along I was unequally yoked, and tried to make it work anyway . I am trying to get through the feelings of hurt,trusting that there is someone whom god will send for me and not one that i pick. i mess up everytime.I would like words of encouragement from anyone who has been there and done that and is now healed. I was told by my father to read Psalms from the last chapter to the fisrt chapter. It will help I really don't know what else I can say about it other than I'll pray that God heals your broken heart. It took me a year to become human again with God by my side. After that year, I began to see all the tihings that was wrong with this relationship. I loved him so much and could not understand why he did not love me the same, I had not done anything wrong. I knew this person for two years working with him and I felt this was the one to spend the rest of my life with. God did not choose him, I did. Our faith was different he was from another country. He used me for other reasons, thats why I could not understand and it took me so long to heal. I was for real and he was not. There is no way I can tell you about the hurt you feel. Trust in God, ask him to make you strong. He will lead you to the one you belong too. I know when I cried, the Lord cried with me. you will over come. The Father knows the hurt and pain with in you. It has been two years and my life goes on, but no matter the time frame you will think of that person but stronger and with wisdom - you will love again. HOW CAN YOU COME HOME WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE ON YOUR FACE,MAKE LOVE TO YOUR HUSBAND, KNOWING YOU JUST FINISHED HAVING SEX WITH A TOTAL STRANGER!!!.......THAT'S VERY SICK!! WELL..........SHE DID!! SHE LEFT ME,DIVORCED ME,AND MARRIED THE SAME MAN SHE CHEATED ON ME WITH!!.....I FORGIVE THEM BOTH AND DO NOT JUDGE THEM,THAT'S BETWEEN THEM AND GOD!!!!!!!!!!! View Profile History	hurt Posted : 25 Dec, 2008 12:16 AM Dear Hurt, Yes I know that hurt!!! I did the same thing as you. My husband of 21 years left me for another woman. I was devastated!! I had thought that this could never happen to me. It has been almost 2 years since my ex-husband left me. I sometimes still cry at night and still feel the hurt!! No one knows the hurt unless they've experienced it. The past 2 years are just that "PAST"!! I am moving on to other things,I have more friends than I can count and they are a great blessing to me!! Yes, I do get lonely when I start focusing on myself instead of other things, and yes, I have only been human, looking for someone to love and to be loved by, but I've learned just like you that I am messing up the LORDS will for me to have the husband that I want and need. I've also learned that I can't look,I have to let the LORD send me someone because he already knows who that person is. If he doesn't send me someone ,then I am okay with that because the LORDS will be done, not mine. He knows my wants and desires and he says in his WORD that if my ways please him and if I will delight myself in him , that he will GIVE me the desires of my heart. Thats one of his promises. So, I have to say that its our lives that we live for him that determines if we are granted our wants and desires. He knows that we can't be perfect, but we can strive to be. It was complicated and hard for me but time cures the hurt in my heart. But I believe God has his own reason for that and I can be strong too to face the challenges of this life not only bcos of this situation but any hurting experience in my life. Amen..... Post Reply

Although I haven't experienced your exact situation, I have experienced a great deal of rejection in my life and very little acceptance. What helps me though is to remember that God is my source of joy and strength. Anytime you put your trust in another human being, there is the potential to be hurt or disappointed. God is the only one who will never let you down. I hope you find your heart's desire, but just remember that whether or not it is God's will for you to marry, it is God alone that you must look to for joy and peace.
