OK here is my story.Posted : 1 Jan, 2011 06:53 PMI am recently divorced and live in a small MO town. I was married 10 years to granddaughter of preacher, daughter of preacher, and she also claimed to be called to preach. Needless to say I thought I had found perfect christian wife and was shocked when she said she wanted divorce. Let me say this 1st during the divorce and now after she has been very kind to me and wants to be my friend. Allows me too see and have kids whenever I like. However her family treats me like a dog all but her dad who is just staying quite it seems. Also all but one couple where we was attending church at gives me dirty looks. The preacher won't even speak too me, and there are other church people who know both of us and have given me dirty looks as well including preachers. Most of this I assume come from some of EX's family spreading rumors that I was having a affair. This was a false statement and I have asked my EX to tell the minister where we was going that I never had a affair on her and she said she'd try to get him in private tommorrow and tell him. She said reason she wanted divorce is becuse we never talked anymore and she was biggest blame for it. I also never wanted the divorce, and made my desire known to God asking him to restore her love but it did not happen. I guess movies like Fire Proof are just that movies. Even in the movie had she not found out about him buying the medical equipment she'd probley divorced him. Guess the moral of my story is I wish christians acted like christians. There is a verse in Bible that states that if my people do not praise me the rocks and trees will cry out. I wonder if that is why we see non-christians showing more love to their neighbors than christians seem to show. Sorry just wanted to shre my story and thoughts. God Bless each of you this New Year |

OK here is my story.Posted : 3 Jan, 2011 06:43 PMYour welcome, it will get better and the wounds slowly heal but they do heal. I have become so much more closerto the Lord and totally reliant on Him going through and after my divorce. He has been my comforter and He will be yours as well!! |
