Posted : 15 Dec, 2010 08:40 PM I agree with all of you to an extent, in my own past I've gone through this cycle of some anger and denial of it having been my fault, then hurt and self pity to realizing hey... so maybe it was my fault. Then comes the difficult part of owning up to it and bringing before God and knowing I must forgive that person as well as seek theirs if I'm ever to have a night of peaceful rest again... I think in many cases it can humble us and bring us closer in relationship to God. I guess there are many scenarios to heartbreak details but this is what came first to mind for me :) Post Reply

I fought for it for a long time and along with that were the usual cycles of feelings and struggles involved. One day I woke up and faced reality. After that point, I had so much more strength to accept and forgive, mainly because I knew I had done everything I could. The funny thing is that I was able to grow from that because I could take what I learned (the good qualities) about that relationship and be a better person and better relationship-wise for whoever I end up with for good. I may be a glutton for punishment but I still think that even if there is pain in the end (if it doesn't work out), it is still worth it. Post Reply

It causes you to look outward and judge every guy by your past experience or inward to look at your own junk in the trunk. You can become more cautious and mature or needy and reckless, possibly leading to another heartbreak. The loneliness drives you closer to Christ and fellow-shipping with Him in His suffering or to put up walls where neither God nor man can get through. It hurts like hades. :devil: Post Reply

A Heart that�s never been broken has no need for Christ. If there is no pain then there is no need for relief from pain. How wonderful and sweet does water taste to a man that has had none for days? What I am getting at is we need to feel the �pain� of Broken Love in order to appreciate Love Renewed. Each time we have our �heart� broken it Heals stronger. It is our Mind that may not heal. It is our Mind that may construct �Higher� fencing. Our Heart�our very Soul longs to be in Love. We have to �will� our Mind to Love again. We have to �Will� our mind to remove any barriers it may have placed between us and others. Some of us have deep�large Cups. Others just seem to have �small� minds. Post Reply
