We have been together 9 years. His name is Banjo. He ia black quarter horse with a white strip and two front socks. I raised him from a baby, started him, trained him showed him and worked in the mountians together pushing cattle. I just sold him and as I watch the horse trailer rattle down the road leaving my place I am doing my best not to cry.

Aww...2Sparrows...I know it's hard to raise them and watch them drive away. I'll say a prayer and ask a blessing for both of you.

If you can't watch them walk away, why did you allow them to walk out from your life?

Well.. Business is business, rite :excited:

There are few things that can get between a man and his horse. Even the most special of women know this to be so.

@Suutukutentei

Yes truth be known; I have had dogs and horses longer than I have ever managed to keep a woman

Ok, let me rephrase it, if you love your horse so much, why did you let him go then?

I understand the feeling but I never gave my dogs and my fish whom I loved so much to anyone.

@JesusLovesYouandMe

I don't think 2Sparrows gave Banjo away, I think he probably sold him. But, even though it is a business deal, it doesn't change the affection one feels for an animal that you raised and trained from birth. Most horse people are in the business for the love of the animal and not just the $$$...still, there comes a time when you've got to make a living and do what is best for all concerned, including the animal.

I think the same thing is applied to a relationship between a man and a woman (outside marital relationship, unless God divides the couple by calling the husband/wife to Heaven separately), sometimes we have to let him/her go and see only his/her back, then he/she takes a piece of our heart with him/her, it is done for everyone's sake.

Re-read the statement and it may be a little confusing of too much he/she/him/her

:toomuch:

2sparrows, can I ask you a question? Since you mentioned it over and over again in some of your posts.. :prayingm:
