:hearts:I think i understand the question. If God was leading to marry sombody or think about marrying sombody... I would not think twice about going and seeing the man. No distance or money could keep me from the man I loved :hearts:

yeah your right it would take time of praying and getting to know someone through the net would be difficult but it is a privilege to for us to ask before doing such a big decision.

Yes, or vice versa. But I keep it limited to U.S. I don't see myself going overseas, because of all complications.

I'm glad my CDFF friend spent the money for us to meet and get to know each other. :hearts: I don't want to make any huge statements about the awesomeness of our relationship yet, but there's no denying that I am at least spiritually and religiously better for having met him.

I met a guy on here a year ago who lived 15 hours away (driving time). We kept in touch, but never really went beyond the friendship level due to distance, and we didn't make plans to meet.

Anyway, this summer, he just happened to be an hour away from me while he was a chaperon for a church youth camp. I drove up to meet him, and we spent a wonderful 2 hours talking...that was all the free time he had.

I guess that doesn't really count since it didn't lead to a romantic relationship, but I think he made a point of going on that church trip because he knew it would put him in GA! It was good to meet an online friend in person, and it made our friendship just that much stronger. If our friendship ever went from platonic to romantic, I'd gladly travel that far to spend time (ie. at least several days!) with him, and I'd hope that he would do the same for me.

I have meet a guy from another site two years ago. We've been talking for 6 months before he decided to come see me.He has to fly for 16 hours to be able to meet me in person, and been coming every 6 months to visit. If you love someone,I think distance and spending much doesn't matter at all......

It's hard to say. It depends on the level your relationship with that person is. You have to go pass your feelings for that person and rationally think if, after much time spent online and, I'll suggest, skype, you love what you see.

There are still many things persons can hide when they are physically far from each other. The best way to know someone is to be with him/her on a daily basis going through all kinds of situations especially the tough ones. When someone goes through a crisis then that person becomes real. No more "masks".

It's impossible to get to that level of knowing somebody when you are thousands of miles away.

So, if you love that person and would like to pursue the relationship further I think you need to meet him/her personally as often as possible.

I wish you the best! :applause:

You're absulutely right Bridgit,Knowing someone really takes a long time.Even a person whom you've been living with can show new and odd characters day by day..I think it is an everyday process. The most important thing is we have Jesus and would allow Him to guide us and give us the descerning Spirit we needed...
