The best revenge is forgiveness. because as long as you are motivated by any sort of "revenge," you're not letting go. Matthew 6:15 says, if you are not letting go, God won't let go of your sins either. Is it worth it? What's more important? Spending eternity in heaven or getting that 'perfect' revenge? In the end, revenge backfires. Think about it.
Describing the best revenge is like describing the best sin. We are never to seek revenge in any fashion. We are told to bless those who curse us and pray for them. My ex would bring another man into my home with my children there while I was at work during the day. She was sleeping with him before we were divorced. I went through many sleepless nights in some very intense spiritual warfare (yes, I wanted to take serious revenge!), but I did not succumb to taking revenge. Instead I agreed to everything she asked for in the divorce settlement, contrary to my lawyer's advice. I believe God blessed me for behaving this way, because in the end, she didn't seek much money (she could have according to the laws of our state), and she ended up leaving me many of the things she said she wanted. Oh, the man she left me for... turns out he was sending nude pics of himself to his wife (he was still married) while he was living with my ex. She dumped him. Now she's living in a camper all alone. Obeying God is always the best path even if it doesn't appear to be at the time.
