The first human relationship was ordained by God Himself. Since then we have come a long way in remaking it in our image. Relationship is the natural order of the universe. Starting with God. As a Christian my belief in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three in one, only get the ball rolling. You can even take relationship to the atomic level where electrons orbit a nucleus. The natural attraction in the small unit of a water molecule allow us one of the most basic needs for survival. Ok, not meant to be a science class.
In our world today, we have much to occupy our minds. A lot of what we consider important and relevant is really just a distraction. Take occupation for example. How many people that you know are so caught up in a career that their marriages disintegrate? I�ve personally see this happen many times. The truly sad part is at one time we worked to provide our families with needs and as a way to protect our loved ones from the harsh elements. We�ve almost become robotic and allow the mundane to overpower the extraordinary.
Then it comes, divorce.
I can say something about divorce, it shocks you out of mundane and causes you to reboot, in a sense. The list of activities that have, up until now, seemed most important, become like so much worthless rubble. The moment you find yourself alone and confused, and hurt; you get clarity. Sometime it takes months before the fog clears but sooner or later you know where you went wrong. For the Christ follower, you sometimes get grace, forgiveness and reconciliation. But not always. Sometimes you find that the one who woke beside you was not listening to God anymore.
What you do from this point forward, depends on your listening to God. Remember Moses? It took him a while before he truly listened. The results was time. A lot of times we ask God to deliver us from our own personal desert. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Many times we choose the method of our own salvation when God has a better and more perfect plan. I know I�ve been guilty of trying to fix my own problems when they only have a God solution.
I�m on a journey now and I hope I�ve packed all the right tools. I have spent over 5 years starting and stopping. God knows my heart and what is more important is that I now listen in a way I never have before. I�ve learned not to follow my heart but to follow the one who makes it beat. Relationship. Its natural and its God ordained. Do you follow your heart of the one who made it? I don�t know where the road ends, but I sure would like a walking companion for the trip. Marriage is a contract if you do it in your own strength, it�s a covenant when God is in it.
I try not to follow my heart nor my feelings. God said our hearts are deceitful so I trust him. We like to lie to ourselves.
Im glad youve been on a road of recovery. God leads us out of the mess if we truly trust him and follow with all our hearts, our minds ,and our souls.
I just focus on God first. I enjoy the boards for now. I quit looking but still have an inkling of hope.:laugh:
Our valleys are always a time for massive growth and deep reflection imho.
God knows our hearts are wicked and thats why he wants to put us through the refining fire. We are dumb sheep without the Holy Spirit guiding and teaching us. We all need a daily ongoing "God makeover" :laugh:
Thank you for your comment. God has given me a desire to speak into the lives of the broken hearted. Especially where my heart was broken. I've had the opportunity already to be used by God to keep hope alive in the lives of friends who seem to be caught up by the unimportant aspects of life. All it takes is a willing heart and using what God has done in your life to stop the hand of Satan from causing the destruction of the family. I'm committed to being Gods foot soldier for His purpose.
May the Lord gird you with all you need to serve and honor him. We are in the end days > hour ,so it isnt going to get any easier but we can do all things through Christ who has strengthened us Amen!!

Father I thank you for using this brother as a willing vessel to bring in hope and joy to the many broken lives in this world. Give him more wisdom and more love as Jesus loves. Go before him and protect him. Amen
