Posted : 14 Nov, 2013 07:42 AM Please take a look at this recent viral picture of a vitiligo woman who married a man with normal skin: http://thegrio.com/2013/08/09/photo-of-bride-with-vitiligo-goes-viral/ Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the pigment is lost from areas of the skin, causing whitish patches, often with no clear cause. I have this condition since I was three years old, my grandfather had it too and is passed down Although my skin is quite fair the vitiligo spots can be visible. There's no cure and sometimes I feel I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life. I only had one boyfriend and I'm going to be 26 next year, it's a real downer because men judge you instantly and don't even want to get to know you. If that is the case then god has not really raised godly men from the world. I'm just feeling pretty discouraged..do you have any words from the bible and advice for me? Post Reply

I don't believe in the one and never did, god doesn't want to heal me, no matter what I do and sometimes I'm thinking suicide. If I had just one week of talking sincerely with a man about love matters and how it works I would be happier that someone took the time to be honest and explain to me why we are ignored,hated, and left behind for the perfect skin woman. I don't believe this disease is a test for me, I don't reap any benefits other than pain and isolation, but I'm starting to think perhaps it's a test for others and they fail miserably again and again. It can not be seen, but it has an impact on my life every day. I know I will never be rid of it. I would gladly trade illnesses with you. Suicide? You would throw away God's greatest gift? Life. Believe me, you will find someone. God never gives us more than we can carry. It is times like this when you must ask God to carry you. Lean on His strength. I do not know you, but I think the world would be a much better place with you in it. Do not give up, sister. Post Reply

(Thats what happens when youre an old man. :rolleyes: ) I must be going now. I babysit my nieces in the afternoon, after school and its a 30 minute drive, but I will be back later if you want to talk about this. It really would be a shame if you gave up. There are decent men out there and you would miss out on finding the right one. Post Reply

Posted : 14 Nov, 2013 10:42 AM I don't know what disease you have,I hope it's not life threatening but it's wrong comparing one disease to another and saying one is better or worse in my opinion, I also found out I'm infertile and feel it's so unfair because I was waiting until marriage and got this weirdness all of a sudden trying to do the right thing while other women do whatever they want and get their dream husband and family later on...I just don't understand....I had people show up in my dreams putting their hands on my uterus and now im infertile, perhaps the darkness is messing with me... I believe in natural selection and evolutionary biology as much as I believe in god, neither wants me to find anybody. It is understandable that men go for women without these defects.... Post Reply

Posted : 15 Nov, 2013 01:15 AM Yareis, Trust in God and believe in yourself.You may be seeing other people and thinking they are more advantaged over you but its not the case.People have different challenges in life. I have seen physically disabled ladies who have wonderful partners. Just like the others have told you,don't give up..Don't deny yourself this life that God has given you. Wait upon the Lord,He has good plans for you.Accept yourself the way you are and know that God has purpose for you in this world. Read the bible and see many who had challenges and still loved and trusted in God. With all love my sister may our good Lord grant you peace,joy and happiness in your life.And may He honor the desires of your heart. Post Reply
