Admin	When You're Broken Posted : 23 Oct, 2012 03:51 AM Sometimes in life we go through things that we think we just won't bounce back from. It seems that surely we can't hurt anymore. Surely there isn't any greater hurt than what we are feeling. We're broken..... I can only imagine how much greater Jesus was hurt when his disciples turned their backs on Him when it came time for Him to be crucified. How betrayed, and how hurt He must have been. Yes, Jesus felt these things too. There is nothing we could go through that He didn't go through Himself. But in Matthew 11:28-30 it says: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." We take our brokenness, and unimaginable hurt to Jesus. He has awfully big shoulders... :angel: In Him is the rest that our broken hearts need. And He is there for us...waiting on us to come to Him and bring our heavy hearts to him. Our brokenness...our burdens. And He waits for us to come to Him, and lay it all at His feet, so He can bring us peace. And rest.....a place of comfort that we can only find in Him. Hope this is an encouragement to anyone who reads this, and to some very special people in my life. God knows all about it. PTL. Post Reply

I know He allows his students to be tested and the teacher is quiet during the test, so it is then that we choose to pass the test and hopefully hear from the teacher. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit and contrite heart. " Ouch, but pruning for His Kingdom is part of the painful process. View Profile History	When You're Broken Posted : 25 Nov, 2012 03:38 PM My first genuine relational interaction with Jesus even though I had believed in Him for many years was the rejection I felt through a wife leaving and taking my child with her. Relating with Jesus in His rejection from the Father and everyone else gave me a place of comfort. Knowing my Lord related in my feeling building the first feeling of intimacy with my Lord. Needless to say I have since related with jesus in many ways not only Him but the Father and recently the Spirit of God. God desires to relate with us on a personal level. Can you imagine what He felt when His first created beings hid from Him? Since then as believers our goal is to become honest with God and with others, this builds closeness and intimacy. Something we all desire and want. But this takes sacrifice to allow our selves to be hurt by the wicked that we might find fellowship with genuine hearted lovers of God. And God Himself. Post Reply
