I was excommunicated for being a creepy weirdo freak. Basically, I was asked quietly to never come back, but everyone knows about the incident that got me walking down the path of shame and guilt, and ever since, I have been treated like a criminal by getting the cold shoulder and the occasional "there goes the creep!" comment. I admit that I did wrong and the way I acted after was heinous and immature, but being excommunicated and not giving me a chance to apologize and ask forgiveness has hurt me a lot. I guess I would have done the same thing if I was in their boots.

Here is my question: should I have to wander hither and thither looking for a church to call my own, a place where I can be without having my past buried back up? Or should I just not go to church at all? (Note: I am not going to a Catholic or Anglican church because I am not Catholic or Anglican. And let us assume that all churches in my area know of my misdeed(s).

Sizzling in the pot they screamed and they yearned:

"We all from one root did we grow,

why the rush to fry us so?"]

I think you should go to a local church there that teaches the word. We are to be a forgiving people....not necessarily tolerant, but forgiving. If none of the churches in your immediate area will forgive then they aren't worth going to anyway...that is if you have repented and are a child of God. Maybe you should branch farther out to churches who have no heard of you, if you have the ability to do so.

I now know how queen Elizabeth felt when she was excommunicated, only she did nothing wrong.
