Bible Study Day Question

Hi! My church is starting a Bible study group for singles this fall and I have been asked to suggest a day and a time. I have been given feedback that 7 pm would be good on any day. However, I am need suggestions as to which day of the week would be best. What day of the week do you think singles could come? Thanks!

In reality, since I am single, I probably could come any day.

Generally speaking, some folks have existing gigs on Weds. and/or Sun. with their churches. So, those usually aren't the best nights. With single folks, they usually like to go on dates and do that kinda stuff on Fridays and Saturdays. So, those sometimes aren't the best nights. Now, I have found that during football season, men will never show for Monday nights. Which leaves Tues and Thursday... but those don't usually work out because when people are already planning to go somewhere Wed. they wont usually go two nights in a row. This has been my experience.

Hope that helps!

I recommend Fri or Sat evenings...that would provide something to do on the nights when other friends are out on dates. Once the singles start dating, they won't want to be part of the group.

I suggest having day trips on some Saturdays, too, and some weekend retreats/get aways.

Blessings to you for your initiative and for success.

Well, people usually go to church on Sundays, and an accountability check mid-way can be good. That's why I prefer Wednesdays & Thursdays, but that's just me. 'Tis more important to ask the people in your group when they're free.

Asking this in the broken hearts forum? Is there something else you want to tell us?
