But I know there is a reason behind everything, whether it is the consequence of not waiting on God's direction or placing too much trust in someone else either way it places two choices before you bitterness/resentment and a more malleable heart. But I don't know that it would really qualify as "broken." The guy who broke/bruised my heart was the one and only guy I've ever really dated. We dated pretty seriously for three months before he ended the relationship. I didn't love him, though. I liked him a lot, and I might have learned to love him if the relationship had lasted, but I did not love him at that point. Because there wasn't any love involved, my heart wasn't completely broken...just bruised. Am I over him? Yep. I do believe I am. I have some nice memories from my dates with him, and some difficult ones too. But I learned a lot about guys, dating, relationships, what's important, what's not so important, etc. I'm ready to move on and find a great guy to (I hope) spend the rest of my life with! Post Reply

Posted : 7 Aug, 2011 10:28 AM 1 time I do know with the dating experiences as a teen..I was hurt,but not to the degree of my heart being broken, by the man I committed myself to in marriage..of 31 years..The hurt of that will be for along time..Only God can heal that hurt...Not knowing the purpose of Gods plan can be difficult sometimes..I just have to believe there is a purpose and trust...:waving: Post Reply

I was engaged to him for almost 1 1/2 years then a time came that I had to step up and take in my grandbaby to raise, and at first he guy was ok with it, then on Christmas eve in a text message he told me he just couldn't do it, he just didn't want to be "held down with a small child", I can't really blame him for that it just hurt all the more that he couldn't tell in person, in a text message was bad..lol. But ya know what? I had fallen away a bit from Jesus, and turning back to him and letting him pull me out of the pain was the best thing for me. Post Reply
