Promises, promises...well it's over!

I hadn't been back on this dating site for about a year...until a few days ago. If you look at my profile, don't believe a single word of what I said...because during the past year, I have permanently turned my back on God, Jesus, and the bible! I don't believe any of it anymore...simply because of a failed promise found in scripture. The promise is found in more than one book of the bible...so as far as witnesses are concerned, I've got at least 2 witnesses for those of you who need proof that Jesus said it. Anyway here's what happened:

I asked God to provide me with a wife back in June of 2009...and believed when I prayed that I would receive what I asked. Well, here it is 3 years later and still no wife. The provision was never provided even though I know with absolute certainty that I believed!!! The young lady who did happen to come across my path led me on for nearly a year before ending the relationship over something that never should've been an issue. The emotional pain that resulted was like someone stuck a sword right through my chest...and the anger and rage inside my heart has been building ever since...and I refuse to contain it any longer! For those of you who might happen to think I should've given God more time, let me explain something to you once and for all:

A truly holy, all knowing, and all powerful God doesn't need 3 years or more to provide a suitable wife for me...especially considering that he would know exactly which young lady would be a perfect match for me...and could easily have brought her and I together.

By the way, I was going to look up the verses in the bible to make it easier for everyone to find them, but I'm already angry enough...so you'll just have to look them up yourselves.

I know many of you aren't going to like what I've said here...but I can't help that. Just being honest, I never in all my life thought that it would ever come down to this!

"GraceUndeserved", when I said "tall order", that's simply a figure of speech"

I'm well aware of that. Nevertheless, you have placed and order with God and are upset He didn't deliver. My point still stands.

.... And you reduce God to an errand boy, getting you things and making your short life here sweet then allowing you to an everlasting bliss called Heaven when you die.

Examine your posts and ask for forgiveness, repent now.

Don't try to talk like that to the King of Kings. Who are you?

How do you even claim to have been following Christ?

You are alive now for a reason, think about it.

Abraham was told by God, when he was 100 years old and Sarah ( his wife ) was 75 ( he robbed the cradle ), that he would have a son by Sarah- and that the son would be the father of many nations. For 25 years he waited, probably suffering much reproach for his faith. He probably never said that God failed. We overcome partly by our testimony. The trial of our faith is more precious than gold ( 1 Peter 1:7 ). It only makes ouir faith stronger. Abraham asked God how he was going to do this when Sarah was past bearing and he was too. God told him that He was "El Shaddai" , the provider- the "Breasted One". He was telling Abraham that he was like a baby to Him. God is timeless- Eternal. He healed us at Calvary. By His stripes we are healed. If you truly believe it, God will eventually recognize your faith. Hebrews 11 is a good faith builder. James also talks about why you don't receive. It's OK to be a baby- we just repent, put our arms out, and trust God to make us right.

"Then Abraham bowed down with his face to the ground and laughed as he said to himself, Can a son be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?" Gen. 17:17

This verse would seem to indicate a 10 year age difference between Abraham and Sarah.

From I Corinthians 11-13:

11When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. 12For now we see in a mirror, dimly,* but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Keeping it in context, we're talking about faith, here. Luke 18:17

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

I too agree that God does not need 3 years to provide a wife. However, what we don't know is how long the process takes for God to prepare us for our bride. God is about process. There are things in you he wanted to take out before he brought her to you but you were to blind to recognize that you were in process. Unfortunate that you got angry with God it is not nor ill it ever be his fault for doing things on your time. If you were ready for a wife HE would have brought her to you. It is clear you were not then and are not now yet ready. I have been waiting over 10 years for God to bring my wife to me. HE made that promise and will keep it. I can wait until HE says here she is.
