Life is unexpected and we never know what may come. I am in a family crisis right now as my 14 year granddaugter was admitted to the hospital tonight with serious problems,

This was my child for three years and then mom got her act together and is a very good mom now. Dad is in her life and she has two younger siblings of which one, we almost lost to E Coli a few years ago. That was very stressful as she had 4 blood transfusions and all the local news stations were reporting it as a top local news headline.

Now my other grandaughter is fighting for her life with a blood hemoglobin down to 8 and at 7 they will give a transfusion. She has lost 15 pound s in the past two weeks and has fever, fatigue, can't eat and was bleeding from the bowels two nights ago.

The ER we took her to did tests, saline drips, catscan and suspected Chrohn's disease and sent her home with a referral to a pediatrics gastro specialist in the bigger city near here,. She could barely walk, her white blood count was 19 and 10 or lower is normal. I was shocked they let her go.

I took her home with me as mom and dad both work, and she was miserable and in tears from pain,.My motherly instincts told me she needed serious attention and after she went home to go to her sports game, she got worse. She is high achiever and a great player on her team.

The doctor sent her to immediate ER in the big city after finding that her white blood count is higher yet and hemoglobin dropping. She is losing blood somewhere and doctors are running all kinds of tests. This is affecting us as a close family, we joined hands and prayed after they left for the hospital.

Please if you are praying person, here are some petitions for throne.

1. Granddaughter gets saved and her dad, My daughter was raised in it and knows and needs to draw close. My granddaughter had to learn Psalm 91 first few verses when I raised her for the first three years of her life. I told her she would need it some day and for life.

2. The doctors do find the source of trouble and can use the best treatment for it.

3. The whole family needs to draw close to the Lord and eat healthy foods.

4. We all have faith that conquers the fear of what doctors might say and satan's lies take a hike far away.

5. That you that cared enough to pray, give yourselves a hug for me, I truly appreciate the prayers and have to cling to my old friends "sorrow and suffering" right now to learn wisdom and trust. Selah~

God bless~joey~

Joey, I'm still thinking of you and praying. I prayed she would have strength the day she had to go to school? How is she doing? How about you?

Thanks for asking. She did go back to school but not feeling good. She is still not feeling right and gets pain every time she eats as well as other symptoms of bowel problems.

Something is not right and they drew more blood this past week.

She also goes to the specialist soon and I have a feeling they will end up doing a scope. Poor baby only weighs 98 pounds and is 5' 6". :(

Prayers for her are greatly appreciated. :purpleangel:

Aw, that poor girl, I will keep praying for her joey. It's hard being young and sick. I'm glad she is going to a specialist, sounds like that is what she needs. I know it's all hard but we serve an AWESOME God, who is watching over her!! Thanks for hte update, I tried to e-mail you but your age range wouldn't let me. Hang in there joey!!

Thanks Godsgirl! Sorry about the age range.

She got real sick and her pain got worse, so they did blood work again, today and more tests. Now they are scheduling the scope, which I pray she can handle the prep for that.

She just got back on her basketball team and is very discouraged and sad.

Please pray for her to be able to handle the prep and results come back soon, with God's healing on the wings of prayers.

Thank you much. :purpleangel:

That poor girl!! I have had several scopes and they tell you right after it what they did or didn't find, so that is a good thing! My first one was when I was 16, so I can sympathize but they did find my problem with it at that time. I will pray for her and I'm going to ask my friend also to pray. It is hard for everyone I'm sure. Just know God is always in control and He holds each of us in His hands!! Keep me posted!! I will be praying Joey!

Thank you, Godsgirl. So glad to have praying friends. She has had lots of cankersores, too, which is an indicator of Crohn's so I am praying she will want to read the book that helped me.

"The Maker's Diet." Wonderful, healing medicine in that book from Jordan Rubin who found the answer to healing his Crohn's through diet and probiotics.

Wow, Joey, I never heard of this book and that is great it works through diet and probiotics. Doctor's always give pain pills and steroids for flare-ups. I'm glad to know this information. My friend is joining me in prayer about this as well.
