Life is unexpected and we never know what may come. I am in a family crisis right now as my 14 year granddaugter was admitted to the hospital tonight with serious problems,
This was my child for three years and then mom got her act together and is a very good mom now. Dad is in her life and she has two younger siblings of which one, we almost lost to E Coli a few years ago. That was very stressful as she had 4 blood transfusions and all the local news stations were reporting it as a top local news headline.
Now my other grandaughter is fighting for her life with a blood hemoglobin down to 8 and at 7 they will give a transfusion. She has lost 15 pound s in the past two weeks and has fever, fatigue, can't eat and was bleeding from the bowels two nights ago.
The ER we took her to did tests, saline drips, catscan and suspected Chrohn's disease and sent her home with a referral to a pediatrics gastro specialist in the bigger city near here,. She could barely walk, her white blood count was 19 and 10 or lower is normal. I was shocked they let her go.
I took her home with me as mom and dad both work, and she was miserable and in tears from pain,.My motherly instincts told me she needed serious attention and after she went home to go to her sports game, she got worse. She is high achiever and a great player on her team.
The doctor sent her to immediate ER in the big city after finding that her white blood count is higher yet and hemoglobin dropping. She is losing blood somewhere and doctors are running all kinds of tests. This is affecting us as a close family, we joined hands and prayed after they left for the hospital.
Please if you are praying person, here are some petitions for throne.
1. Granddaughter gets saved and her dad, My daughter was raised in it and knows and needs to draw close. My granddaughter had to learn Psalm 91 first few verses when I raised her for the first three years of her life. I told her she would need it some day and for life.
2. The doctors do find the source of trouble and can use the best treatment for it.
3. The whole family needs to draw close to the Lord and eat healthy foods.
4. We all have faith that conquers the fear of what doctors might say and satan's lies take a hike far away.
5. That you that cared enough to pray, give yourselves a hug for me, I truly appreciate the prayers and have to cling to my old friends "sorrow and suffering" right now to learn wisdom and trust. Selah~
I stayed at the hospital last night and am there now with my granddaughter and daughter and her dad. She did eat a little solid food today and a little better. She still has pain so it is a day to day journey.
jjar, thank you for the Psalms, I love them during times of trouble. You picked a good one and ministered to a weary sister. Bless you and your tender heart. :purpleangel:
Thanks again, friends. My granddaughter was released today but I think it may have been too soon. She is still not feeling right and they did not do all the testing because of her frail condition. I am praying for it to all become clear.
Glad to have some prayer people on this forum. :purpleangel:
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy. Psalm 33:18
I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psalm34: 4,6
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Psalm 17,18,19
I prayed and asked the Lord to give me some scriptures that would comfort you. These are the ones I felt led to post.
I think at the end of this trial you and your grand-daughter will have an awesome testimony to share.
joey, remember HIS eye is on the sparrow and you and me and twosparrows. Hope you smiled:glow:
