MorganEugeneTackett View Profile History	I wish I had someone there to understand me better Posted : 17 May, 2024 07:55 PM I go through a lot mentally and it just be nice if I could find someone who cares enough about me to listen to my problems and try to understand me and comfort me. I know I can take my problems to God and I do, but I also need someone to be there for me physically too. I just pray that I can find a virtuous woman who would be willing to listen to me, to understand me, and to comfort me when I’m feeling down. Someone who will know all the right things to say. Please, if you all don’t mind, please say a prayer for me. God bless you all. Post Reply

I’d rather a woman like me than to like my success which I lack. The only thing I have and will ever have is my house to keep up, and a garden. If I find a woman then she’ll just have to be happy with that. Post Reply

It's a nice thought to think that women should and will accept you for everything you currently have to offer. If you have what women want then it will be no problem but if you don't then what then? Take what I'm going to say to heart. If it was easy to attract women then there would be no lonely single men, but as we all know the US is full of them. Which means you need to figure out what they find attractive and do your best to be attractive to them. Or you could continue on the lonely path you're currently on. Post Reply

Anytime I try to fix a situation I only make it worse. Starting now I put all of this in God’s hands. That’s something I should have been doing, but I always let doubt and fear get in the way. You still need to put in the effort. Everybody makes mistakes especially when we try something new. Experience is the best teacher so every time you mess up. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, take what you learned and go at it again and keep at until you get it right. Post Reply

While waiting, I have been working on myself, preparing for my future husband. I suggest that you do the same. God has given you skills and abilities. If you don't know then ask Holy Spirit. He will guide you in the way you should go. Work with what you have for God has given you what is needed for today. Perhaps that doesn't require you to spend money just time and it will be worth it. See if there is a local men's group where you can find support. Prepare yourself for your future wife. No one on this site can do it for you. I hope that you are able to get wisdom from men who have been there and done that. Bottom line, go to God in prayer and He will answer you. Post Reply

I'm now in the category of 60 plus. WHY BOTHER? It becomes wishful thinking. Maybe when one does not look, then God sends someone. WHO KNOWS? Paul said, "And I do not inwardly burn?" (2 Corinthians 11:29) But he chose celibacy and to remain single. Maybe it is better to be a mentor. More are the children of the desolate woman than of she who has a husband. (Galatians 4:27, Isaiah 54:1) Anyway, we are all getting too old for this. There are better things to do with our time. But here we are. I have been to men's groups. Great to be in church men's groups. But they don't help you get a woman. They may make you feel happy enough relationally to skip looking for a woman. Maybe that is an answer? Yep! I miss those men's groups. Post Reply
