Promises, promises...well it's over!
Posted : 23 Aug, 2012 11:08 PM

I hadn't been back on this dating site for about a year...until a few days ago. If you look at my profile, don't believe a single word of what I said...because during the past year, I have permanently turned my back on God, Jesus, and the bible! I don't believe any of it anymore...simply because of a failed promise found in scripture. The promise is found in more than one book of the bible...so as far as witnesses are concerned, I've got at least 2 witnesses for those of you who need proof that Jesus said it. Anyway here's what happened:

I asked God to provide me with a wife back in June of 2009...and believed when I prayed that I would receive what I asked. Well, here it is 3 years later and still no wife. The provision was never provided even though I know with absolute certainty that I believed!!! The young lady who did happen to come across my path led me on for nearly a year before ending the relationship over something that never should've been an issue. The emotional pain that resulted was like someone stuck a sword right through my chest...and the anger and rage inside my heart has been building ever since...and I refuse to contain it any longer! For those of you who might happen to think I should've given God more time, let me explain something to you once and for all:

A truly holy, all knowing, and all powerful God doesn't need 3 years or more to provide a suitable wife for me...especially considering that he would know exactly which young lady would be a perfect match for me...and could easily have brought her and I together.

By the way, I was going to look up the verses in the bible to make it easier for everyone to find them, but I'm already angry enough...so you'll just have to look them up yourselves.

I know many of you aren't going to like what I've said here...but I can't help that. Just being honest, I never in all my life thought that it would ever come down to this!

Hey, GraceUndeserved... Are you going to grow a beard, and get an anchor tattooed on your bicep and become a sailor now?

No ma'am. I like the natural look more than the tattoo look. Although I like tattoos more than I like lying women!

I dislike lying women too, where do we find one so we can tell her to change her ways?

I'm sort of glad about the whole no tattoo thing. Men look tougher without them!

FocusOnTheUnseen: He has to shape a suitable husband before providing a suitable wife...

Q, there are some truly honest, decent Christian women in the world. But I am beginning to think that the one God has meant for me is not on this site.

Apostelle: God works in mysterious ways. Where He provides a wife is only known to Him...assuming he wants you to have one!

Apostelle...

My pastor once told me (and the whole congregation) that "we DON'T know where the Lord will take us. Where is it that HE DECIDES we will find/meet our other half."

See, most men in the bible had traveled to unknown lands (willingly/un-willingly) and found their other half. Men like Moses with a non-Israelite wife, king David, king Salomon...etc.

The rib that he took away from you is probably in China.

Lastly... Read Genesis 24:7 because our God is a God of love, order, promise and pacts. Apply it to your life/search. God will provide.

God bless my brother!

WATCHING OUT FOR WOLVES

Our Lord Jesus warned about those who would come as WOLVES IN SHEEP'S clothing.

15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are NOT gathered from THORN bushes, nor figs from THISTLES, are they? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is CUT DOWN and thrown into the FIRE. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:15-20).

See... Both are trees and both DO bare fruit. BOTH fruits can even LOOK enticing (like the two in the garden of Ethen). There are some trees that CANNOT be distinguishable from the other, but are rotten inside(forbidden/not to eat).

Verse (16) does NOT state WHEN you will see their fruit, but assures you that it will come to pass. So sometimes we know someone's cruel intentions beforehand hand but sometimes WE FALL IN THE EYE OF THE STORM.

(Romans16:17-20)

"17 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such men are slaves, NOT of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. 19 For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil. 20 And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you."

Satan, through his wolves, may nip at our heels NOW, but in the END he will be crushed under our feet. The one who promotes strife and disharmony is to be destroyed and defeated by the GOD OF PEACE.

First, wolves prey upon those who are vulnerable. Satan has his ways of attacking the strong, but wolves tend to prey upon the weak and more vulnerable sheep in the flock. Paul informs us that these wolves prey upon THE UNSUSPECTING:

-non believers (bro,sis,parent,gf,bf,friend,boss....etc.)

-Christians weak in faith.

(bro,sis,parent,gf,bf,friend,boss....etc.)

Wolves seek to turn Christians from self-denial to self-indulgence, from self-sacrifice to self-service.

Willingly, they are servants of the flesh. It may be UNKNOWINGLY, but they are thereby servants of Satan himself, furthering his purposes:

"And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will" (2 Timothy 2:26).

Which means that there is HOPE still for the girl you speak of and as followers of Christ, we need to forgive and pray for her soul.

Wolves also deceive (make look like;make believe;lie to). Like Satan (their master), they are cunning, skilled in the art of deception. While they are sometimes bold enough to make a frontal attack, most often they seek to undermine and subvert (overthrow - overturn - demolish) from WITHIN (your mind- thought).

Third, wolves seduce with their speech. These wolves are enslaved to the flesh. In order to entice men and women to follow, they employ it.

(Romans 16:18)..... Their words GO DOWN EASY, but they are BITTER in the end."

They do not identify themselves as instruments of Satan but more often profess to be believers. They appear as angels of light:

"13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds." (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).

The action we are to take is laid down in (Romans16:17)

A truly holy, all knowing, and all powerful God doesn't need 3 years or more to provide a suitable....

*** A Holy, All Knowing, All powerful GOD can take as long as He wants...He is GOD...He gave the Hebrews many years and days...Some Blessed...Some not...He sent His only Son Christ Jesus as His Messenger & Saviour to both Hebrew and Gentile when He decided to...not when someone wanted Him to...He will also return as He said when He says...

Remember Job...he was stricken by satan and GOD gave permission...Job suffered much...and he never turned away from GOD nor Blamed God...he praised Praised God in Sorrow and Aguish and in Joy...

I know what a Broken Heart feels like...It hurts deep inside and I dont want anyone to feel or go through that...but Life is Ups and Downs in this world...the Bad as well as the Good and it brings us into Complete Surrender unto a GOD...

God never said it would be easy...He said...I will be with you...Chin up...and know that God does love you...xo
