i made a choicePosted : 30 Dec, 2011 04:56 PMPersonally I think you made the right choice, but I do accept it would be painful for both of you. There ARE non Christian men who'd make great husbands (and plenty of "Christian men" that wouldn't!) and for another woman he may well be the right one, but unless Jesus' sacrifice meant nothing to you, there's no way you could turn your back on our merciful and loving Father. But by the same token, your request of him is also unfair; if he really did become a Christian for your sake (is that even possible?!) then would you ever consider his faith sincere if he could change such a fundamental core belief for such a (relatively) trivial reason? |

i made a choicePosted : 20 Jan, 2012 03:46 AMIt's important to recognize too that for a Muslim, converting to Christianity often means that their family will reject them. |

i made a choicePosted : 24 Jan, 2012 11:23 PMI guess this is a case study for being unequally yoked. I am so sorry for the pain you experienced. One's faith is not something that is hereditary but comes from a deep place of personal conviction. My faith in Jesus is not just something I tick off in a box but it is the way of life for me. God has someone incredible in store for you trust Him to reveal Him in due time. We don't know the future but God does!:applause: |

i made a choicePosted : 6 Feb, 2012 11:02 PMWhen it comes to religion it is important that you agree on common ground. I could never marry a buddist who doesn't believe in Jesus. There are also some Christian groups that are so similar that its not a big change at all. We are more alike that different if we listen to each other. |
