Strong/weak. Uncaring/insensitive.

Was going to ask a question on how insensitive and uncaring a person should be thinking that's what makes a person strong untill I found this article on what really makes a person strong or weak. I thought it was pretty good and maybe I'm not the only person confused on this so I thought I'd share the link: http://www.2knowmyself.com/how_to_stop_being_so_weak

A person who mistakes meekness for weakness is on the verge of a great surprise.

One of the hardest verse in Scripture for me to wrap my head around was:

Matthew 5:5 (NIV)

5 Blessed are the meek,

for they will inherit the earth.

Being in the military I KNEW that this could not be correct. I also knew that God made warriors for His Fight against evil. God even has Warrior Angels for battle.

Sohow to explain this piece of Scripture?

I grew up around Thoroughbreds. Powerful animals that are hot bloods in the purest sense. You cannot describe them as meek! Yetas a young man I could lead these Wonderful Creations of God around with just my hand on their Bridle.

Those Amazing Creatures submitted to my Authority. An Authority I had to earn. By doing so they became as Docile as Sheep! We are called by God to do the same! We are to submit to His Authority and by doing this we will Inherit the Earth.

Make sense?

I've found that too. Like what Coach Wooden taught/demonstrated. Meekness and love is always pretty disarming I've been finding more and more as well.

For 7 months I have been talking to a young lay that I trullllllllllly love/loved. :hearts: But she kept going back to her no good, abusive ex.

*SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* I know that I am the type of peson who falls in love fast and hard. That being said I know that it talks time to build a relationship. This is way it HURTS so much when it seems like a relationship fails after one has been talking to a person for MONTHS.

My standards are high and at the same time I am also seeing the need to meet someon on here from my home city. It is just soooo hard to meet someone from another Sate.

"Wait on the Lord, and again I say, wait"

we all need to remember that~and it is SO hard to do. I always said it was the four-letter word God used on me:glow:

Hang in there. You sound like someone worth waiting for, so keep that in mind. The Right one is the one for a lifetime, don't waste the time God gives you following the wrong one~

God bless you~

My dad was one of those meek yet strong men. My grandfather used to say that my dad was just weak and had no backbone...my mother said that no, he was meek and mild and gentle, but was also a very strong leader with rock solid convictions -- a trait he exhibited over and over during his life.

And that's the hardest thing in the world to be. Meek. Especially when you know you could mentally/physically tear someone apart that is attacking/insulting you, but choosing instead to care about them more than your self-defense. Everything about our prideful nature fights that to the death. I just have to think about Jesus when we talk about meek strength. Perfect, pure, and justified divine truth/power...yet humble, long-suffering, loving, and self-sacrificing. And even better, it wasn't just Him...He came to show us God's character.
