They tell me how great I am, how they want to meet me right away, and they always give me their email address. Then you look at their profiles and they either have next to nothing in them, or they just keep repeating a few words over and over again. The last two both had the same phrase over and over again: Im looking for a guy. Im looking for a girl. Im looking for a guy. Im looking for a girl. Im looking for a guy. Im looking for a girl. They say they are 20 something but they have their age setting to 40-60 years of age. And like TwoSparrows said in another post, they have really �hot� pics. Post Reply
View Profile History	How you notice a scammer? Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 01:18 PM They often have one picture posted. Often that picture does not meet the physical description they chose. Their grammar is terrible. Not terrible in that they are not good spellers (as many genuine Americans are) but terrible in that you can tell English is not their first language. They come on very strong. "You are so beautiful!" "I love your eyes - I can't stop looking at them!" Many will give their personal emails in their first or second contact. The men will list themselves as widows. Their wife has died from a car accident. They will have one child, who is either a teen-ager living with grandparents in England, or in college --- overseas. Or they will list themselves as divorced. They will say something like "I caught my wife in the act with my best friend. It hurt me so bad. I didn't want to get divorced, but she wanted to stay with him. There was no pleasing her." They spend a LOT of time talking to you (or pursuing) you online, but something will always come up so they will never actually meet you or talk to you on the phone. They may even have a oppisite sex profile to fake attacks. All which I have seen here on this site since I joined in August of 2009. Some of them have had run ins on this site and leave and come back. watch the drama. I have seen both men and women here do this. Dennis Post Reply

Posted : 5 Dec, 2010 04:28 PM Well, if a guy IM's you, and starts chatting with you, you go to his profile and and it has been banned, THAT MAY BE A CLUE! I promise, that happened to me yesterday. I cannot help but be a tad bit suspicious of you. When I informed the guy who was chatting me that I noticed he had just been banned, he asked me what I was talking about. He protested, seemed confused, and asked why as I informed him he had been busted. No, I don't think I will help answer your question. I will tell you what I told him, though. LOL :laugh: He kept trying and trying to talk me into giving him my personal email and I kept saying No and asking him why he thought he got banned.
