drawing heartsPosted : 3 Nov, 2010 11:30 AMIf you were to draw a map of your heart, what would it look like? Would it look like a valentine heart all filled with happy colours? Would you colour it in all black and draw tears spilling out of it? Would it be a complex network of little shame-filled cubby holes and bursts of fireworks and scars, bandaids, and stitches? Would you draw a shell around it and then wide open spaces that you've never dared fill? |

drawing heartsPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 07:54 AMHmm...when I read your question, the image that came to mind immediately was a bunch of little pieces that had all been sewn together to create a heart. I don't really know what that means, but that's the picture I got in my head. |

drawing heartsPosted : 4 Nov, 2010 05:18 PMThe third option is probably mine more than any others, but we are made new by consciously turning towards God; as we do that, the old structures are quietly, relentlessly collapsed and better things are built in their stead. |

drawing heartsPosted : 6 Nov, 2010 01:58 PMPixy, would you believe that I've been thinking about this ever since you posted the topic? I wasn't sure how to describe my own heart, though, so I gave it a lot of thought before responding! I'm going to assume that we are speaking of our "romantic" hearts here, not our spiritual hearts. |
