Posted : 30 Aug, 2010 05:22 AM Love only last about 2 yrs.......sorry ladies its a biological fact...its how God made us....the love that last a lifetime is not the euphoric feeling u get when you first meet someone ....this will fade away.....the love that last a lifetime is not an emotion but an act of the will...... Sorry ladies there is no such thing as a soul mate....if you keep looking for that you will be lonely...and if you think you found the one...and when it gets tough....you will say oh! he must not be the one and divorce again and again....... Love is not effortless..thats another myth , it takes work..... . The movies are a fantasy not a reality..its a form of escape and thats ok...you can still enjoy a romantic movie... Post Reply

I believe that this is the reason behind divorces we see these days. Based on that reality, it is our commitment between us and our spouse to KEEP GROWING IN LOVE, not leaving our partner when the emotion fades away. To be growing in love is biblical and that is what the Bible teach us. Love is a lifetime commitment, the love feeling only stands for 2 years. Thanks for bringing the fact that we all should keep growing in love and take good care of love itself =) Shalom. Post Reply

I think the "love" emotion you might be referring to would be "infatuation". I think love can last a lot longer than 2 years. Call me romantic, lol. :peace::peace: Post Reply

Posted : 30 Aug, 2010 07:56 PM i agree. remember, the bible says that "God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". remember, our sin broke Gods heart and hurt Him alot, but He continued(s) to show us that He loved(s) us by giving, and the ultimate proof of His love was sending Jesus(himself) to save us. i heard an interesting thought that our love is like a gas tank, the more we give the less we got left, but Gods "love tank" (im tired and lacking a better term so that will have to do, even though it sounds kinda corny, but anyways) is limitless and will never run out, so we need to keep getting refills from the Lord (and this is my paraphrase, so my apologise if it sounds weird). anywho i hope im making sense, if not, ill try to explain better later on.
