2 and half years ago I was at church helping guide a truck full of chairs to the back door.We heard a crying sound.A very small half starved kitten just a few weeks old was wondering around.I picked it up before it was run over by thr truck.I took it home with me.We already had 2 cats.

I told my wife the kitten would be around until we found a home for it.Well,a home was not found. My step son hated this cat for no reason.I had to take the cat named Leo with me one day to save it again. My step son was planning on taking it and putting it in a ditch someplace. So, Leo was saved by me again. My wife never liked this cat.The other 2 cats were treated much better.

When my X left me I got stuck with all 3 cats.Recently when I was sick Leo sat by me in my bed and watched over me. Every time I coughed I felt a wet nose or a paw touch my cheek.

Leo is the only cat that gets to sleep with me.I constantly had saved her as a kitten now I have the loyalest pet.

Do you see the moral here in the story? We are the throw away who Jesus redeemed.Leo watches over me now.We who are saved are loyal followers of christ.,Dennis

Great story, and great lesson. My family has 5 cats. We only got one of them (Rex) intentionally. The others were rescued.

Waldo was an ugly, stray, starving, feral kitten at the college my sister and I attended. My sister coaxed her into a box and took her home. She's a bit schizophrenic at times, but overall is a good cat. She turned out to be just beautiful.

Zaxby was another stray; he was living off of scraps in the Zaxbys parking lot, so my sister bought him some chicken strips and got him into a carrier. He hadn't been a stray for too long, because once he learned to trust us, he KNEW what a couch was for!

Frankie was going to be euthanized. She had an infected eye and her owners didn't want to pay for treatment. My sister (who works at the vet's office) couldn't stand for such a sweetie to be killed, so a one-eyed Frankie lives with us now.

Muffin...well, Frankie adopted him. He showed up at our house and hung around the edge of the yard for a few weeks. He was thin and scared of people. Frankie kept chirruping to him, and he finally came up onto the porch for food. My sister caught him, intending to neuter and release him. He never left once he was released.

All of our cats were throw away cats (though not to the same extent as Leo), but they all bring so much joy into our lives.
