My brother's requirements for his Brother-In-Laws

So, my brother wrote up a list of requirements for his future brother-in-laws, since he will only ever gain a brother through my sisters and I getting married.

I liked his requirements, and pretty much, if these requirements are met, i bet my dad would approve of a guy too, lol.

------------------------

Dear sisters,

I am writing this letter for two reasons. First, because I had to write a paper for English; but, secondly, and most importantly, so that I dont get stuck with a bum brother in-law! So here are a few requirements.

The first category I call spiritual requirements. Number one is, obviously, that he must be a Christian. Secondly, he must love his mother, because anyone who doesnt love their mother doesnt know how to love. He also has to love God more than he loves you; this means he must be willing to give you up in order to serve God. Furthermore, he cant be self-centered; this means he must think of others first, because you have to start thinking somewhere.

The second category I call personality requirements. First, he must be a gentleman. Second He must have a stronger will than you, so that you cant push him around. He also must be comfortable talking with the guys, this means he cant look like a rabbit in a dog pen. Furthermore, he must be able to tolerate children, this does not include smart mouth middle schoolers.

The Third category I call mental requirements. First, he must know more than you about cars, This should be easy because most of you know nothing about cars. Second, if he did not meet the last requirement theres still hope because the second is that he must be willing to learn. This applies to every thing not just cars. Third, he must be ambitious, wanting to reach the next step; this includes work, spirituality, and marriage.

The last category I call physical requirements. First, he must be stronger than you, If you can beat him up theres a problem. Secondly, he must weigh under 300lb or be six and a half feet tall, this is reasonable. Last and I suppose least, his hair cannot reach his shoulders.

So there are my requirements, dear sisters, but do remember I still posses veto power.

Love, your brother.

Love it! I don't have any brothers (just two sisters), so maybe I need to write something like that for my sisters so that I get a decent brother-in-law.

One of my sisters has a routine she goes through every time I mention a guy (and not just if I mention him because I'm interested in him). She thinks that every guy that crosses my path should be considered as potential husband material Her routine goes:

1) Is he single

2) Is he straight

3) Is he a Christian

4) Has he always been single (ie. did he used to be married)

5) Is he pierced, tattooed, plucked, dyed, bleached, etc.

6) Is he cute

7) Does he have a good job (that's a new one now that I'm out of college and have a job)

She's not really so shallow as to think that those qualities are all that need to be considered, but it's amusing how fast she can "initially approve" or "disqualify" a guy based on those things!

Yeah... and my brother who wrote this just turned sixteen.

He's quite thoughtful for a sixteen year old boy.
