We have an Obligation to be careful with the Hearts and ...

...Feelings of others!

WE need to watch our words carefully. They can easily be misunderstood and we need to be careful that we are not "leading" someone on.

We are dealing with people's Heart and we can inflict great pain and hurt.

There will be ups and downs and "tiffs" and "fears" and things that will have to be worked out, but we need to alsways be careful with our words.

Peace

Very true!

The written word is powerful, especially in the absence of the other ways we receive impressions in face-to-face life.

And there's such limited accounting for where folks are in their day, much less their life, and that colors the message as well.

Up here in MN, territory like this is marked with signs that say "Thin Ice".

So why communicate?

It's part God's image in us.

Yes. But if you can't speak the truth in love, then just speak the truth.

Thanks everyone...

...but even in speaking the truth we need to make sure that we are clear and perhaps use the Emoticons available here ( :nahnah:) to help express our feelings and intentions.

Yes, Arch.... emoticons!!! They work when we work them!:dancingp:

Sometimes we write in public forum and privately too where we wish to express something we feel... Yes the emoticons halp to let a person see what kinda mood we're in so when we read what the persons' saying we can have a better idea where the persons' head is at. We can typically say and share anything without offense, and we do have options with the "way" we do it, AND using the emoticons' do help the "reception", rather response, of the receiver.

Sometimes words alone, might appear bland and dry, but the emoticons kinda tend to get the recipient involved! Thanks!! :yay::dancingp:

Being one of those people that has said more than their fair share of crazy and even hurtful things on here i'd like to say that when i did that, it was due to being emotionally unhealthy and when one is like that, all of their good intentions just go out the window. Moral of the story being this site leaves alot up to the imagination since one has no idea what is going on with, or who the person is on the recieving end of your message. And rather than letting yourself get caught up and imagination and insecurity get the best of you and say something mean and hurtful, fix yourself. Get a book. For me listening to new life live online and using their resources has been very helpful and freeing and i encourage anyone to utilize that if they think they're in the same boat. personally i've become a more secure and sincere person because of it.

Emotional health. Not to be overlooked.

mom once told me this:: " The language we use to communicate with one another is like a knife. In the hands of a careful and skilled surgeon, a knife can work to do great good. But in the hands of a careless or ignorant person, a knife can cause great harm.

Exactly as it is with our words. and i really live by that quote .:prayingf:

and yes, using the emoticons is so fun :dancingp: that i never send a message or a post without using one of them :applause:

hey remp.... sometimes we make mistakes or we don't clearly express what we mean, or take something out of context like you said, but... I'm sure it has happened to alot of us, we "open mouth and put foot in"... and realize later. oops :excited: I shouldn't have said it that way! Yes, some people are arrogant, and haven't learned the value of proper social etiquette in expressing feelings. We just have to forgive them and brush the dust off or wipe the tears, and keep moving. We can stick our tongue out :nahnah:, or just say "Thank you Lord that I see this, and I don't do the same thing to somebody." We can get carried away wistfully in our hopes and expectations with these new friendships of ours, but it's all a learning process.

Some of us realize we aren't perfect in expressing our selves, in fact know ourselves very well.... and have the ability to come back and say I'm sorry, or I didn't mean what I just wrote you, or just say, you took what I said the wrong way. Those people I respect. One who can admit they probably made us feel bad, and hope the person they offended or misled, will understand and still act lovingly or friendly as we continue our journey here together. We can't please everybody though, no matter how we put it. Sometimes we scratch our head, and sometimes we wanna blow up occationally :angeldevil::winksmile::boxing:, but us on the receiving end just gotta keep going, step back, take a breath, and keep our hearts and spirit right.

The mistakes we might make with our friends should help us and make us better next opportunity around. Sometimes we gotta keep a rein on romance and friendships... stay in control without losing it, or letting our imagination run rampant. Thank the Lord for his grace and mercy!
