Posted : 30 Dec, 2009 11:14 PM So I was driving around this afternoon when i just randomly toyed with the idea of whether or not it was possible to change the world and now it's becoming a real pre-occupation. Do you think you can change the world? To what extent? And how? Post Reply

Posted : 31 Dec, 2009 08:19 AM I think some people are put in a position or given oppurtunities to effect change in the world singlehandedly, but that most of the time it is a group effort. For the world to change in any dimension, people have to be willing to do their part and step up. If no one is willing to step out, nothing happens (and they should not complain about it because they are doing nothing to change it.) For me personally, this means learning about the issues I think need to change and praying about my part in the process. Post Reply

The only beings in the universe capable of changing this world would be the ones that created it. We just have to follow them. Just think. If everyone in the world followed God? Billy Graham-one man changed the world.he has gone to many countries to preach the gospel. Mother Terersa- In her life time she did many good works for the poor. George Washington-He prayed for our troops at Valley Forge and was our 1st President. Now some bad guys. Adolph Hitler-he was the most evilest man in history.After killing 6 million jews it caused the nation of Israel to come about.That last thing was a prophecy come true. Stalin- a godless man who killed many of his own people. Now we as a group can reach out to the world with the love of christ.Tell your friends about jesus.One man can hold the line good or bad.Let us make it all good in this next year.Dennis :peace: Post Reply

Posted : 31 Dec, 2009 04:23 PM cattle: i believe so too. as far as influences go that's not a bad choice (understatements are funny, right? :P) What I've been thinking on is the subject of influence. How they make us and our experiences what they are. How who you are is defined by who/what you choose to influence you. How in turn you influence others based on the extent of your influences colliding with their influences, how they influence you in return, and how that could be defined as a relationship. And how influence is a sliding scale between quality and quantity (having more of one takes away from the other), etc. I dunno, just something that's tickling my mind that I wanted to share.
