Checking for Scammers

Hi. I have been approached by scammers and naively cheated of money. Then thank God of my job, I learned how to search for images online and saved myself from another scammer. Here's how you can protect yourself:

1. Right click his/her image to save to your local drive.

2. Then go google.com, then click on "Images" on top right hand corner.

3. Go to the search bar and you'll find a icon with a label "search by image".

4. Click on it and go to "upload and image" and upload the image you've just saved.

5. Google will then return results and you will know where the image is taken from if its taken online.

God bless!

Actually a quicker way is to;

1) Right click the image, highlight and click "copy image URL"

2) Then go to google images and click on that icon you mentioned

3) Under "Paste image URL", right click, highlight and click paste

4) Then click the "Search by Image" tab.

If you do it this way, you don't have to save the image to your hard drive.

Of course, if you find that it is indeed a scammer, report it and your findings.

Thanks for your info and helping others.:waving:

You can also find other search engines that sometimes find images that google search misses.

Search under "image search' to pull them up.

its certainly one method.

I'd be cautious of anyone that is extremely complimentary and falls for you a little to quickly, also beware of a "sob story", love scammers will go for your heart before going after your wallet.

really, just dont give money to strangers, If someone really is in trouble, and money is the solution, they shouldn't be looking for it on a dating site.
