ladygci View Profile History	Searching for Hopskn08 Posted : 12 Sep, 2014 05:26 PM This is a real long shot but I thought I should put it out there anyway: A few years ago I got talking to a guy on here who went by the name Hopskn08. We spoke for a few months and he was awesome! We had a similar sense of humour and just really got on. As our conversations got deeper, he kept telling me that he wanted to share his testimony with me but needed to work up to it because he was worried about how I would feel once I heard it....Long story short, i ended up going travelling and got into some real problems on my trip so I lost touch with him. It wasnt til a year later that I realised he had actually sent me that testimony. It was very personal and brave and inspiring and I felt terrible because he must have thought I'd just decided not bother responding!! But i simply never saw it! I'd even opened the message at some point but neer read it, so on his end it wil have seemed like i read it but was too mortified, judgemental or not bothered enough to respond! I did try to get in touch once i read it but by this time he had deleted his profile. I never found out his last name and we never communicated outside of CDFF, so once he had deleted his profile, that was it. He was gone. i don't know why i'm writing this. I don't think there is anything anybody can do. This happened a few years ago now, he's probably doing fine, forgotten me, in a relationship etc but everytime i come on here and come across an email he sent that makes me smile, it makes me think of what could have been with this awesome guy who I feel i let down because i was so flaky. Our last email chat was in 2010 and i still think about this from time to time!! Like if i could just email and apologise, or say hi. You were a really great guy. Ive met a lot of not so great guys of late, so i think this makes me appreciate him even more. Maybe this is me trying to get closure, or maybe i'm secretly hoping somebody here will say "oh i know Hopskn08, i'll message you his email!" Whatever the reason, thanks for reading and if nothing else- if it just reminds you to appreciate that awesome person you meet in here it'll be worth the time. I know cyber world can seem a bit like a candy store but there are some great people out there...don't let em go without at least getting a last name!!!! #Doh! Oh and any advice?
