Anyone saving themself for marriage?

You know we all have made mistakes and when we repent there is no condemnation, but I just wanted to start a thread and see if anyone else has completely saved themself for marriage - to connect and talk about your relationship with God and how He led you to prepare yourself for the right one :)

It appears as though you've left the site. You should totally come back.

I hear there are weird goings-on where some women are having operations to "restore their virginity" - I wonder if they consider themselves, having gone through such, as saving themselves?

Virginity is more than just an intact hymen, it's also a state of innocence for want of a better phrase. This crude joke illustrates this quite effectively:

"What's the difference between a woman and a light bulb?"

"You can turn both on and off, but you can only unscrew the light bulb..."

Their are maybe some young women who were forced without consent and feel they lost their virginity to a preditor. If you are reading this I am greatly sorry for such a thing.

Please know that loosing your virginity is more that the act of a male forcing himself upon you.

It is when you give a freewill offering of your self to a man. You see what a evil man took form you is not what you have to give to a man you love and adore one day.

The trust and connection of male and female of mind spirit and body is the offering that you have reserved to give still.

Continue to preserve the gift of your self for the man God has who will protect, honor and cherish you.

You still have the best to give........

Blessings my dear sisters.

Not getting much response on this thread...that's a bummer!

Glad to see some younger adults bringing this up, though.

I'm likely going to be a 40 year old virgin before 2013 is over, because I highly doubt I'll tie the knot before then.

This is not the way I had hoped it would go, but I'm very glad that I'll still able to tell my wife that I saved myself exclusively for her. I'm also glad that God has helped me to persevere and remain obedient to His command on this issue.

True Love Waits!
